I don't think it's a bootleg. The back cover has a 3D hologram as you can see in the photo and the disc is not a BD-R. I bought it new on amazon from a third-party seller. I just sent a message to the seller like you suggested. If your player has no problems playing region B/2 then it sounds like you got a bad rip bootleg....
sometimes when they try and record multiple discs at he same time they get screwed up

Where did you purchase it form?
I'd get a replacement(they won't give your money back)
Oh.....one thing I've learned thru Amazon is never buy from 3rd paries UNLESS it's backed by Amazon returns...then you don't have to deal with the 3rd party at all.Amazon returns has always been fair , fast and responsible to me.I got a response from the seller...........
Oh, I've got the US DVD, which I've had for a while, but I wanted to upgrade to Blu, which I did. I just can't play it.Still enjoy my UK DVD which has on its sleeve reverse a plot synopsis which had absolutely nothing to do with the film.
The seller was MovieMars through amazon. I think the first rep that contacted me just wanted to avoid creating a return shipping label. When I emailed back, a different rep responded and gave me a return shipping label so I don't have to pay for it.Oh.....one thing I've learned thru Amazon is never buy from 3rd paries UNLESS it's backed by Amazon returns...then you don't have to deal with the 3rd party at all.Amazon returns has always been fair , fast and responsible to me.
Sounds like a Bozo to me...it clearly states that it's a Region B/2 disk and anyway you have a region select player.
Also the seller misrepresented themselves by claiming it was a Region B, and now telling yoy it's a REgion A...that's proof right there.
I hate when people try to make 'us' sound like we don't know what we're doing.
Cool..that's the kind of service I'm used to...you can even have UPS pick it up at your residence, so you don't have to go out due to the virus lockdown. The seller was MovieMars through amazon. The region should have been posted in the description area, when I looked up 'The Keeper' I saw the region listedActually, they didn't represent the disc as being Region A or B. I think the rep was just trying act like it was an incompatible Region issue in order to quickly dispose of the issue. They should have clearly listed the region, though, because they're selling a Region B disc on a US site. I just happened to have a player that should have been able to play it anyway.
That's not the one I bought. Did you see the photos above?Cool..that's the kind of service I'm used to...you can even have UPS pick it up at your residence, so you don't have to go out due to the virus lockdown.

https://www.amazon.com/Keeper-Blu-r...words=seagal+the+keeper&qid=1593249472&sr=8-2
or at very least being a US site it should have said 'IMPORT"
Yeah...it's the 2nd or 3rd one in the list....the top one is the main page I postedThat's not the one I bought. Did you see the photos above?
Of course it should work, even bootleggers want to sell their stuff.Yes, I see now it actually was listed as Region B. My bad. It should still work in my player, though.
