I didn't realize when this thread started it meant all-time favorite shows ever. :D I just put my current favorites.

I too liked Frasier for many years, Robert--it was one of my top favorites. :) The last couple of years I didn't care for it much, so I was glad to see it end when it finally did. Cheers and Seinfeld are indeed great classics! :)

I also really liked News Radio! :) I don't see much mention of that these days, as it hasn't been playing here in syndication. Phil Hartman was great, but my favorite was Dave Foley. I was a huge fan of the Kids in the Hall! Not many people I know ever heard of them. :D And the station ower was indeed great on that show! I would enjoy seeing those again myself. :)

Many of my favorites over the years have been mentioned, but a couple more of my top favorites ever were MASH--for me, mostly the first two seasons, while Trapper John and Henry were still around--and Barney Miller. What a great ensemble cast they both had! Some of the best ever in TV. :)

That only shows that TV was better in the old days. In my case like 5-10 years ago. :D

"Kids in the hall" did well in Sweden to. I haven't seen so much of the show, but some of my friends hade just good things to say about it. Foley is a good actor indeed and did well in the two seasons I've seen.

I must agree with you about "Frasier" to, the show did get a bit ... "not so great" the two or three last seasons.

Just remembered... Really loved those "Golden girls". :D

One of my favourite "oldies" was Bonanza. I remember when YTV first started up, they were running Bonanza and there was such an outcry from the parents screaming that the old westerns always portrayed Indians (and they said Indians, not First Nations, or Native North Americans, so they weren't all that politically correct themselves) in a bad light, and were corrupting their innocent youth with its evil message.

Clearly, they'd never watched "Bonanza".

Where other westerns of the time portrayed Indians in as poor a light as possible, Lorne Greene was absolutely adamant that when they portrayed Indians on the show, that they would stay away from the stereotypes. He was very much an activist, well before others, on this subject. And he had enough clout that the producers gave in. (He was also a Canadian, eh!)

However, YTV bowed to the pressure and stopped running Bonanza, and I haven't seen it since.

Hello Sererna,
I just wanted to know :you mentionned Barney Miller,is it the same Barney Miller Blackie Lawless mentionned in his interview from the Barney miller Show;
with Detective Ron Harris who said "I want to be somebody" which gave birth to the song By W.A.S.P?
it's Funny because it's the Kind of thing we don't learn in College!
I am looking forward to learn that Kind of thing!(Sorry for being dslightly off topic!!!LOL)
I loved the Fall Guy with heather Thomas!I have a huge poster of Heather in My Bedroom!!!LOL!!!
Oh,Oh,Oh!I forgot my fav show of all times!(Apart from WTR)!
It is Highlander!!!!so many episodes!I thought that even for a Frenchman the Paris scenery was so Romantic!!!!
I guess it is the same Barney Miller show (starring Hal Linden as Barney Miller), Lonewolf. :) Detective Ron Harris (Ron Glass) was an aspiring writer. I never knew that about the song by W.A.S.P getting inspiration from something on that show--interesting! I guess we continuously learn things we didn't learn in college. :D

And Highlander was a great show too!

My favourite series are :

ER (can't say why exactly... maybe because I went myself too many times at the hospital :D)
CSI (not sure the title in English) - the three ones : Las Vegas, Miami and Manhattan
24 (the third season just finished in Switzerland)
Lost (a very good one with a lot of suspens :D)
and a German serie called Rex in French, a Cop's best friend or something like this in English. It's a police serie with a German shepherd dog. Quite funny sometimes :D
