I only watched the swordfight scene and a couple of other bits, but I must say, the swordfight scene is possibly one of the best I have ever seen in any movie.Glimmer

Good to hear it mate :)

That sucks the way HMV won't let you have advance copies of films, cds etc.Good job for them you're not a black security guard or they would suffer the old race card, saying:"it's because i'm black" lol

btw-how long you been a security guard for?

Peace,
Leon

Hi Guys! Just finished watching Out for a Kill, it's a much better movie than Foreigner, that's for sure. It's great seeing Steven back in action with fight scene after fight scene. The only thing I feel that lets down this movie is the director, that Oblowitz guy. He really dosen't know how to tell a story. IMHO.
But the fights are great, each one having a different feel with different opponents. The fight where he starts off from sittting on a chair made me think of Hard to Kill when he fights from his knees!

"SPOILERS"

Not huge but don't want to ruin it for anyone.

Quite a bit of bone crunching, I was suprised! There's one decapitation but it was a bit cheesy! The fight with the Shao Lin monks is pretty cool, but the monkey guy wins it for me! Very fast action too, I couldn't really tell where the stunt double was too much either. There were quite a few fights, I think I need to rent it again!

Justice - hello. I have just got in from work complete with Out For A Kill, so I am going to get some food and watch it. In answer to your question - I have been a 'security guard' for about 2 years now. I worked in Topman/Topshop first of all for an external security company which was a load of crap money-wise, but there was sh*tloads of pussy! Now I work for HMV as a loss prevention officer, as they call it. Which basically means that there is a lot more paperwork to do, and a lot less 'hands-on' security work. Basically, the way they see it, they could lose 20 quid if a DVD gets robbed by a smackhead, or they could lose a grand if something is missing in an order or is booked onto the system incorrectly, so the majority of my time is spent tied up with paperwork. The money is about the best you can get in terms of working in the security industry though - starting rate is 14k for a basic 37 hour week, but that doesn't include sundays (double time), bank holidays (triple time plus a day's pay) and any overtime you do. In a good year you can expect to earn up to 18k, but I know guys who have cleared 22 grand after tax! It's not awesome money in terms of a career (I am aiming to join the police in the long-term), but it is OK for now.

Take it easy and I will see you after OFAK!

I had to go out last evening, so I decided to stop by HMV to see if they had Out for a Kill (whereupon I would have cancelled my B&N order, since it'll be about two weeks before I get it from them). But, thanks to the blackout and Mel (our mayor) and Ernie's (our Ontario premier's) sobbing pleas to cut energy usage this week, HMV decided it was an "unessential service" and closed its doors early.

ARRRGGGGHHHHHHH!

TD will soon be running away from home..sorry I don't have the movie yet-just to save you the trip here.

Well, I got the confirmation notice from B&N today, so it is on its way, but if previous delivery times are anything to go by, I won't be seeing it until after Labour Day. (US Postal Service and Canada Post delivery, you see what the problem is right there....)

Yes TDWoj. That was my ironic joke. I lost a lot of weight and am keeping it off so Bountys are out, in reality!(Sugar Free pop anyone?)

I actually had half a can of diet Coke today (the first taste of aspartame in 4 years) and decided it wasn't worth the risk of getting migraines, so I regretfully threw it away.

Water for me, thanks. And no chocolate bars, ever again. Which is what made watching Chocolat Sunday night both pleasurable and frustrating....

Sugar free soda, oh no...
Terrible sick headaches...
Although Diet RC, is aspartame free...
But I really need to give up soda in general...
And chocolate...
I think moderation, and portion control is a good idea...
I've lost three pounds since my last doctor visit, LOL...
I guess losing anything at all is good though...:)
