This media thing is rather like a broken telephone line.It's not necessary to take media as an example to show how it happens when rumors like that start circulating...You might probably be familiar with some people's flaws such as spreading false rumors.It has happened in my life,probably in your life too and in anybody else's.Some people are too curious about you and ask you too many questions.You respond with a note of sarcasm your questioner might not be getting and takes it as a thing to spread around.Another way is you might not like telling things about yourself and you don't tell them,but those brilliant minds make up stories for you,even things you figure out you hadn't known about your own self 
I'm telling you this from my own experience,how such rumors begin.So whenever I hear this crap coming from the media,I have a sensitive indicator that this is a very very questionable source.
And so Rooster,true,you don't see many new things here because what we do know for sure Seagal is not the man to open up to the publicity and the press...He does what he considers necessary to do and well,it's entirely up to us whether we take what we hear for granted or sort it out...

Someone here asked why you refer to Steven as "Sir" and I do not believe you replied to that. I know why I would call him that in his presence since his martial arts rank is far above mine and I have studied martial arts for years. It is just a matter of respect that martial artists learn. It is a way to acknowledge another martial artists, esp one of higher rank. Bowing is also another way of respect and is practiced in many martial arts.
I've often wondered about Mr. Seagal's 'history' but it really doesn't matter. The things that interest me most are his martial arts ability and his experience with the Tibetan and other monks - the spiritual aspects.

Hello ladies.
I am sorry. I thought I replied to that question about why I call Sensei, sir or the sir. Your response was very accurate Kickingbird. I do believe Seagal Sensei deserves to be called Sensei, not only because from what I know about him I think he's a great guy and he's very accomplished in his life. Calling him sir here is just a an easy way to show respect. I feel more comfortable calling him sir or the sir rather then just Seagal as I would not do that in real life. I do believe one should conduct themself on these forums and online as they would in person. I do. I don't believe in talking trash or making threats or any of that other nonsense. So, if a person does that here that usually goes to show you it most likely would not be a good idea to know that person in real life as well. Anyway, I hope this helps and I also hope I answered the question in a satisfactory fashion.

Yeah,Rooster,good answer.I still can't force myself to call him in such a formal way...training I guess is the basis.By no means I would ever call him Big Steve in his presense...

Asking questions at all is like investigating. Does'nt mean I am, if I was no one here would know about it and I surely wouldn't broadcast it. No way, besides I am sure that the sir has had his fair share of the investigation ringer with the mob case he recently finished up with.
