Now i hope some have got strong stomachs because this story from my local news will put you off Kentucky Fried Chicken if not for good at least for an while..

I know my stomach churned when i heard it..no K.F.C. for me...

An guy went to an K.F.C. and ordered what we call here an 3 piece feed boy did he get more the he bargained for one of his pieces of chicken was just that an BABY CHICKEN with beak and all ..

Poor bloody little thing...

Yuck! KFC is just gross anyway. At least the ones in the US are. The health department is always giving them bad reviews.

Our KFC seemed to be clean. There just wasn't enough business to keep it going. I never saw anything gross at this one.

KFC is ****, no question. The fact that a baby chick was found in the meal sums up exactly how much care and attention they pay to their products. I never ever go there. McDonalds, Burger King etc - all nasty. The last time I went to McDonalds was about 10 years ago. You guys have got loads of fast food places though haven't you? Places like Wendy's, Taco Bell, Chuck E Cheese etc? We've really only got McD's, the odd KFC and a few Burger Kings.

Thats why i eat mainly vegetables/pasta/salads some how i dont think i will be able to look at an chook the same way again for an while...love my asian tucker there is an asian palce just down the road from me an it makes an mean green thai curry ...nice and spicy just like me...do love an piece of red meat once an month (the girls know what i mean) an nice piece of steak very rare ...with an couple of small field mushrooms (uncooked) just peeled and washed throughly...

I'm not a big meat eater either. I got very sick from eating beef about 5 years ago, so I avoid it.

Heather, have you ever tried whole wheat pasta? Mr. Soul and I love it!

G-Man...there are a ton of fast food places here. It seems like you can't go anywhere without being bombarded by it. I think fast food is disgusting. Not just the food, but the restaurants themselves. They're always dirty, at least in my area. I don't want to sound like a snob, but when I go out to eat, I want real food. A glass of wine doesn't hurt either! LOL!!!!

It's definitely gross. These things usually turn out to be scams, though, like that finger in the Wendy's chili two years ago or the batter-fried rat also at Wendy's a few years before that. A customer wants to sue somebody, so he cooks up some kind of bizarre gross-out food and pretends he got it from a fast food restaurant.

The production ethics of KFC factory farms is just disgusting anyway, so this would not surprise me at all. They cut off the tips of the chicken's beaks to keep them from hurting one another because they're so crowded. It's pretty disgusting all the way around anyway...the meat and dairy industry as a whole.

I'm vegan...won't touch anything animal related for alot of various reasons. The only fast food places I will go to are Subway, and Panda Express. Subway has all the ingredient lists available online for all their products, and Panda has some great veggie options. Not to mention you can see your food being prepared...which is a BIG thing in my book.

I think i will stick to my way of cooking at least i know where it came from and thats straight from the market...its worth getting up at sparrow fart (early) to get all the best produce..
