Derailed is a bad copy of Under Siege 2

I like Van Damme, I like The Replicant, In Hell, and more or less Wake Of Death, Second In Command and The Hard Corps. The rest are the same garbage: The Order, Derailed, Inferno,etc...Although I enjoy with his movies, is a good way to lose 90 minutes in the sofa.BUT::::

But Steven is SOOO much Steven: Mercenary For Justice, Into The Sun, Shadow Man, Half Past Dead, are cooler than Van Damme ones, and even in the worse: Today You Die, Submerged, Out For A Kill, and Attack Force, Black Dawn, The Foreigner or Ticker&Out Of Reach, There are always any impressive moment or line to remember.Only Clementine is out, because is a cameo.

Deffinitive: Seagal Forever

i think hard corps is a bad version of exit wounds and if seagal had made the same film i would have said it was average at best.wake of death and in hell are good(i hated in hell at first but after seeing i 2-3 times i can see why its liked).

I think the difference between vanDamme, Lundgren and Snipes to Seagal is that those three want to make movies Seagal wants to make music rather than making movies. So he won`t give himself 100% for the movie because he doesn`t care about it.

He sad it himself in an intervieuw he sees himself as an muscian so...that`s the problem.

alot of actors say things like what seagal said in the interview with the times.he said he found it quite boring and preferred directing but recently i have heard hugh grant, tommy lee jones, sandra bullock and meg ryan all say in interviews that they would all prefer to direct and that acting is quite boring so its not just seagal.

Yeah, Tommy Lee Jones said that. And his movie, THE THREE BURIALS OF MELQUIADES ESTRADA is very good directed, and of course, very good played. Is a good example of movie really well-done.I hate Texas since I saw the film.I don´t want to go there in my life.

How a sad and hard place, the border...my God

Let me just point out ONE thing here, Van Damme and Moshe Diamant have worked together on quite a lot of movies before they re-teamed for Until Death

Double Impact, Hard Target, Timecop, Sudden Death, The Quest, Maximum Risk were all movies produced/co-produced by Moshe Diamant.

Van Damme has made steps towards getting his career back on track. He has re-teamed with the producer of his largest box office hits...

Hopefully Seagal will do the same and team up with some good producers, perhaps a re-teaming with Joel Silver (Exit Wounds)

Okay, I'm starting to change my mind. Van Damme's DTV career looks like it's taking a turn for the better, and Seagal's career seems to be a little short on hope.

At the end of the month, Van Damme is supposed to be starting a new film called The Shepherd, to be directed by Isaac Florentine. Florentine is my favorite direct-to-video action director, and I think he's made some of the best American martial arts pictures of the last ten years. I doubt that it's going to be a theatrical release, but it looks like it should be a big step up from Hard Corps (which was okay) and Second in Command (which was awful).

Seagal, on the other hand, is openly badmouthing his own movies before they're even released, and Prince of Pistols looks more unlikely with every passing day.

Now, my personal preference is still for Seagal. I think he's just the cooler action hero type. Even as an heavy older guy, he has more charisma then Van Damme, but I'm much more interested in The Shepherd than I am in Once Upon a Time in the Hood.

Tonight I watched a newish Jean Claude Van Damme movie that was on Channel 5 ( UK) at 9.00 PM...

The film was called ' The Order'...

Well...hmmm....This film was really bad indeed...

Some decent action scenes, story very poor, dialogues awful , directing was amateurish and the acting by JC VD was just sooooo terrible !

I have seen some good stuff from Van Damme many years ago but that movie 'The Order' was pants and Van Damme was very poor in it...

I will not recommend that movie to anyone.

Take care,

Take care,

that movie came out in 2001, and is disliked by most Van Damme fans. It's one of his worst but I'd put it up there with my favorite Seagal DTV's BOTB and MFJ.

They tried to make Van Damme sorta funny sorta cocky and he just came off as annoying and immature.

But I think Sheldon Lettich (Double Impact, Lionheart, Only the Strong, The Hard Corps) actually got a lot out of the budget, considering it was only around 13 million and they filmed a lot of it in Israel. There were some cool fight scenes and really beautiful shots, but there's also some bad stunt work and CGI.

The film has it's moments but in the end it just doesn't work.

Hiya friend,

I've seen some good stuff from Van Damme in the past, but you're right, The Order stinks !

Good chases and some good fights, but dear oh dear, what dreadful acting and story...

The dialogues are awful also.

How many times in that movie does JC VD says...'' Do you know where's my father?''...''I'm looking for my father''...bla bla bla...

The ending is just completely stupid and nuts and could hardly watch the end...

I was disappointed to say the least,

Much energy,
