Spring

Carlos Rey: "Feeling Good"
It feels good to feel good, about yourself, about your world,
about those around you. And feeling good, as simple as it
sounds, can be a truly powerful and positive force.

Genuinely feeling good is more than just empty pleasure. It comes
when you have the confidence and courage to be who you are, to
live what you believe, with purpose, with meaning, with integrity.

In an attempt to appear sophisticated, some folks think they must
be constantly critical, judgmental, and pessimistic. Yet true
sophistication is the ability to bring out the best in yourself
and in those around you, even though the challenges may be great.

In order to be your best, it helps tremendously when you can
feel your best. Feeling good about what you're doing will
greatly enhance your commitment and your ability to see it
through.

Feeling good is not a matter of ignoring the negative
realities. It's a matter of overpowering those difficult
challenges with a positive, purposeful spirit.

Here’s Spring. Go ahead and feel good.
The world eagerly welcomes all
the goodness you can give it.

South Louisiana Spring time...

In South Louisiana, we have Thunderstorms, too... It actually looks like we are expeting Thunderstorms, this afternoon. It is lightly breezy with overcast puffy clouds, low to the earth. I love thurnderstorms because they help bring and foster new life.... We have plenty of thunderstoms, here, due to being so close to the Gulf of Mexico.

I may not like the hurricanes but I do love the thunderstorms and the breezy winds that can make you feel so free like a bird soaring up above...like my red tail hawks do on windy days! I have been through many hurricanes and the most fierce one of all, I have experieced, was Hurricane Andrew! The Lightening was so awesome and the wind was very powerful. I was volunteering with Red Cross, to help get people into the Baton Rouge River Center Shelter safely, and was almost blown away a number of times. At that time, I only weighed 110 lbs (at 5'7"). I have noticed, though, that even when we don't have hurricanes our thunderstorm winds can still be very strong coming off the Gulf Coast waters. I fluxuate between 125 & 130 now, and the winds can still blow me a bit. I was just walking at the track yesterday and the strong winds blew me a little bit....but I love it... as long as it doesn't blow me a way, LOL! :D

There is a male and female wood duck in the pond benind my house, that just had 6 babies. They are so precious, so cute, so adorable! The mother just started swimming around the pond, with them, this week. That is part of the Spring Time New Life, that I enjoy watching/experiencing/being part of; and of course I Love hearing all the beautiful music my birds here make, in the spring time. The mocking birds stay up late, singing...They can be very loud, sometimes; especially when I answer them, whisteling just like them, when they answer me back.... I just Love spring time.

Have a Blessed day, to all!
Love Always Your Sister,
Stacey :yin:

I thought I would let everyone know how my vacation went, I'm not really sure were to put this. It was everything I expected it would be. Because we had received more that 10 inches of rain here in PA these past 10 days canoeing had to be post poned until Memorial Day weekend, but Pine Creek looked at its best and it was very tempting. The Grand Canyon of PA came alive when I was there, everything was in bloom when I left and so were my sinuses. I did some creek fishing and hiking and worked on building a deck off the back door. Oh!, and the bear! We were all sitting outside on the front porch and this 250 lb bear came up to the porch around 10pm and was sniffing under someone's chair while they were sitting in it. We told him there was a bear behind him and he didn't believe us until the bear put it's front paws and lifted himself up. He then got down and tried to get into the back of the pickup truck and then walk away and layed down about 50 yds from us. Too, friendly!! Someone has been feeding him. So, needless to say, we were all packing our handguns on us all weekend and kept a shotgun handy. I'm so glad we didn't have to use it, he is a beautiful animal. Getting back to canoeing. I have had the opportunity to kayak down Pine Creek in the spring and let me tell you, it's awesome!
