Here your news my friend
---------------------------------------------
Hollywood tough guy-turned blues singer Steven Seagal has kicked off his UK tour in style - sporting a not very macho "manbag".
The star of films such as Under Siege and The Patriot started the first 37 dates in Glasgow with his band Thunderbox.
They belt out the actor's self-penned "pure Delta blues" and will spend the next two months playing at concert halls up and down Britain.
Guitarist Seagal arrived at The Ferry on Glasgow's Clyde, shortly after his co-performers from Memphis, Tennessee.
The star was tight-lipped as he strode from a luxury bus with a handbag swinging from his arm into the 650-capacity venue, where both of Tuesday's back-to-back shows were sell-outs.
Asked for his opinion on the soon-to-be Hollywood invaders Posh and Becks - football star David Beckham and wife Victoria - he asked "Who are they?"
Seagal went on to add that he would be combining both a movie and music career, and that he felt "Cool, man".
Once inside and rehearsing, fuelled by pizzas and fresh fruit, he told how he was looking forward to sampling British culture during the tour before returning for a final few shows in Scotland in March.
Ponytail-wearing Seagal, who has played guitar since the age of 12, told newspaper Scotland Today: "By then we will have seen a lot of Scotland and a lot of pretty girls."
