Obviously to prove their ability and suitability for the job, they could show their work at this unofficial site. Frankly, I think that the current unofficial site could very easily convert to an "official" one, with only minimal changes (mostly cosmetic, i.e. some flashier graphics here and there maybe)

Yes and No......it would be nice to be recognised as the "official site'...but then this site would be subject to extreme limitations in what we could present...this site would automatically become open for legal repercussions if someone wanted to pursue it...
I've seen it happen on the Enya site....where originally it was a pretty open site.....but when Reprise turned over authorization to them to take over the official site.they became very Enya consciense....where once you cold post 'un-authorised music & videos" became a big no-no...
I got blasted by them for doing that.....and posting how to download video ,music,etc.....
so in a way it may be flattering to become an 'official site'....it also would put limits on the site as well....wonder why they never had the Seagal trailers on the official site???..that's because they don't 'own' them to be able to post....we could basically threw the message board because that could be easily deleted by them and is not actually aprt of the official site in the way that the site is presented........
you know......it all boils down to 'ownership & profits'

PS: I did e-mail Sony(marketing dept.) back awhile ago asking about such endorsement for the Out For A kill trailer ...explaing that not only would it be nice for fans ..but also would help exposure for the movie.......of course I got no response.....lol

Good idea Disciple. In principle it would work but applying it could be hard. Steven has proven hard to contact in the past for many.

lol...don't get me wrong.it would be great to be the official site.....but we would have to sacrifice alot of freedom in order to comply with legal guidelines.......we pretty much have free reign to do as we please now...and if Pro Seagal people run this site it should remain that way ..

I'm with John on this subject. Leave us being the unofficial site, where can we can have access to a lot of neat stuff, and have fun. Becoming endorsed as the "official" site would make the place a lot less interesting, a lot less fun for all of us.

On seeing the explanation by J I would have to agree with him..We are better off being the way that we are with no limitations..

actually the one above i just pulled today off the DVD....the others were from the trailer.I told Suzi maybe not to post them because I thought they were lousey....out of the 30 or more from the trailer that I pulled .I thought there were maybe 2 good ones...lol
I dont think this one is that great either...but I like the scene..and I saved the original in JPG to begin with ...which isn't the sharpest to work with in the begining
