Well, word was that it was to be released September of this past year...well that never happened,so probably find out when it ever hits the stores.

"debut" album?..He has 2 out now....he produced and played on the OFJ & FDB soundtracks....if you mean the album "Steven Seagal & Friends"(last what it was the working name)...it'll be anothe collaboration CD just like the others...whe he was asked about it on "The Entertainers"...all he said was that it was finished, was a collaboration of many artists and should released "shortly"...

'Steven Seagal & Friends' was never supposed to be a "solo" album.......doing a version of Marley's "Redemption" was/is one of the tracks mentioned quite often.....Seagal did mention in an interview that he had written some 27 songs and a few would be used on the album.....

Yes...out of the 4 that aired live Seagal played on 3 of them(didn't play on Fire Down Below though the credits say he is co-writer).....sings background vocals on 'Fire In The Hole'(had nothing to do with writing)..Desert Breeze is kinda nice the way the lead passes from one guy to another..Seagal gets his turn as well...and a rather nice wah lead in 'Dark Angel'...alot more pronounced than on the CD...one thing you may notice about Seagal's playing...he doesn't use a 'pick' at all.......which not too many electric guitarists do....many of the old blues legends did played that way...it gives the strings a 'fatter' more 'bluesy' sound by doing so..

Since you can now see the clips and asked about the Seagal music.....the 1st 30-40 seconds of this TV appearance on 'The Enterainers)aired 11/17/02)..he doesn't say much but does make a comment or two about it....right click and choose "save target as" if you wish to download.

In October 2001 Steven visited Moscow and I saw his short interview with MTV Russia showman.Steven said then they had been working on the album and its work name was "Moonburn".He said:"A good name,isn't it?"...He did mention that they had many artists working with them...Was he talking about that same thing "Steven Seagal and Friends"?
But I also remember he said in one of his interviews he had written those 27...Wasn't he supposed to record them at all?He said he had written a song "When I Close My Eyes".What about his songs?Why only few?Why not all?
I guess I want too much.
