I don't use Windows Media Player for music(video only)..if you download MusicMatch ...it has an equalizer that you can adjust the music to your taste...if you download it.let me know what version you got....I'll send you the code to make it a reg'd version..
John

I work with huge files, and have to send and receive things, and even compressed, the files are often as big as 35mb or more. My previous limit was 10 mb on dial-up.

I'm still trying to figure out how to use the space on my Apple account (not very big - it's 20 mb only, but big enough to store a few things on, and there's a public box for people to upload files to - only I haven't figured out yet how to use it).

Anyhow, I've received the file - now I have to figure out which computer with which program will run it best!

My life is so complicated - having two computers is easily as bad as having two children. They're both demanding, both need to be looked after and fed, and new things bought for them all the time!

Well..if you just click on the file itself.....some player should load......at your default one..until you switch the default to something else....it's jus that having an equalizer can bring out many sounds you don't normally here..dpendng on what you cut or boost...just another thing to play around with .....but most "musicians"..prefer ...what is called the "rock" music sound settings......if you look at the equalizer settings...they will run in a "smiley face" pattern.....

Thanks, John! I'll try it out. I'm kicking myself now for not taking up my ISP's offer of getting MusicMatch for free. I had a three day window after I signed up for hi-speed to get it, and at the time, I wasn't interested. My stupid.

??????maybe we're talking about two different things.Music Match (what I have) is a porgram...I use it mainly for listening to music(CDs & MP3s) and recording music from CDs......
there a bunch of stuff that comes with it ...but I have it all dis-abled.....it's a free download program.....so why you would kick yourself for something that is free anyway is silly.....
there must be some other service that has an identiacl name or something.

You're probably right - I filtered from something else because of the word "match". I went back to look and it was a music download service, not the program.

Doh!

Supposed to be him..why?.......doesn't sound like him?
He sings Love Doctor also..but that seems to have been recorded as a live 'jam session'....otherwise I have no idea if there are any more of him on 'lead vocal" around....tho he's co-written many......he's basically a guitar player ..........occasionaly doing background vocals...as seen doing "Fire In The Hole" live...

Oh one of those......yeah.....I myself would never bother with such a thing......you'll only find the songs that the recording companies want to market and profit from as legal pay-per downloading......at best it may be good for getting the current pop tunes.....otherwise pretty useless for me...

Actually, no, I would never have recognized his singing voice from his speaking voice. I'm just saying, that if it is him singing, he's got a gorgeous voice.

Considering I don't even *like* that kind of music, that's saying a lot!

Then it was just as well I didn't. I don't actually like pop tunes; in fact, I loathe pop tunes, especially by female vocalists like Celine Dion, Avril Lavigne, Mariah Carey and Shania Twain, as well as anything by a boy band. Bleh. Fooey. Yuck.

Of course, I'm old - but even when I was a wee lass, I wasn't sold on most kinds of contemporary music (though there is some late sixties stuff I like, I just don't hear them often enough any more to remember what the tunes are).

Mind you, there are certain kinds of contemporary music that I do like - they're using "Born to be Bad" in a commercial, for example, and I like that - that's blues, isn't it? And I find I'm actually acquring a taste for hip-hop (thanks to the son of a friend of mine who explained the difference between rap - which I decidedly don't like - and hip hop - which I'm starting to like). And I like the early days of rock 'n roll, between 1954 and 1957, I guess that would be rhythm and blues? Most everything else sucks eggs, as far as I'm concerned. But, like I said, I'm old, so what do I know?

Hi TD,
Well, I think if you like blues and hip hop you are pretty in with Steven....I think he really likes them too from what I know...I could be wrong, though...I just love music, all and any...If it's good the genre doesn't really matter....The message and lyrics are really important to me too...Btw, just what kind of music is :girl it's alright? I can't put put it into a catagory, all I know is he is really blusey sounding, and very soulful...I melted into a puddle when I first heard it too...Like you said OMG...He's so smooth, eh? Oh baby, sing to me...;)

Well if you can make out any of the lyrics let me know..lol
Oh..and I think I may have sent you a version that had the closing dialouge in it as well about the "love is external,etc"..if I did and it bothers you I can edit and send you another one...without the Seagal dialouge..it just happened to be the closing lines from the movie right before the song started...

I think whatever Seagal ever does it's gonna be cool no matter what genre it is.If I hate hip hop Steven can make me love it.
