Steven's Current Location

Any word on Seagal's interviews he did in Australia? Hope he came out with new some stories and doesn't just come out with the usual stuff he says. I can't find anything online yet or any videos.

I reside near Sydney, and most of the media coverage was either making a mockery of him ahead of the visit, or discussing the "odd experience" interviewing him in person based on his dress, his voice, and particular mention of a masseuse tending to a shoulder discomfort whilst he was being interviewed.

I found two radio interviews which were archived online, however there is nothing meaningful. The first interview has trivial questions, and the second interview is more of a mockery. This is the quality of the Australian media.

-From a show called "Kyle and Jackie 0"

Play the entry from 31/1/19 and skip forward to 1:12:50.

-From a show called "Moonman In The Morning"

Play the entry from 31/1/19 and skip forward to 16:25

Hopefully I have provided the right timestamps because exposure to other segments of these programs will lower your intelligence.

Unfortunately I was unable to attend the public event on this occasion.

As I mentioned in my earlier post, I live here in Australia and yes, most of the coverage surrounding him was a mockery.

I was unable to go to the public talk but yes, there was no coverage or review of the actual event/s. From what I heard, the Q&A was quite similar to the conventions last year which are online, and they showed a few clips from his films.

I have come across another article with coverage from Steven's visit to Australia. He visited with representatives of Australia's indigenous community during his time in Sydney.

https://www.sbs.com.au/nitv/article/2019/02/06/he-also-cooks-steven-seagal-stars-redfern1

The author specifically refers to concern regarding Steven's attendance based on some of the other coverage which I mentioned before. Their experience meeting with him was the exact opposite.

'moments into the interview signalled a young female member of his entourage to scratch his right shoulder' hahaha that's the thing I remembered from reading that 'review'

There is another feature from that press meeting, I can't recall the source, but it mentions that the aroma of a product called Deep Heat was evident, which is a cream used to provide heat relief for muscular pain, and that the female member of his entourage was actually a masseuse assisting him with treatment.

I'm not defending or making excuses - just providing another angle. Ultimately, if these so called journalists had guts, they would have asked Steven directly what was going on.

You are completely right, if the journalists had the guts they would have asked what was going on. Just ask, it is like no one wants to insult Seagal or ask a critical question. Because they are afraid of what he will do hahaha. That story of the Deep Heat makes sense if you ask me

With respect, I don't think they're worried about insulting or criticising him - the promotion of the tour was almost entirely making a mockery of him. As stated before, there was not one single review of the actual Q&A sessions he hosted. There was barely a mention of the martial arts seminar he hosted in Victoria. Only the feature about him visiting the Aboriginal representatives had any purpose, but you wouldn't expect otherwise given that the ABC is a public broadcaster.
