Here are a few pics which will display for you the sheer tranquility of where I stayed, with a few of my usual insane ones thrown in for good measure. The house belongs to my girlfriend's father, the chapel is in the village where they live, the night sky was taken from my car on a drive back from a nearby town and the chicken photo and me pretending to be a rapper require no explanation.

Welcome back, GMan! We did miss you, you know! Too bad you guys didn't end up meeting, but I hope you managed to have a great time in spite of it. From all the pics, it looks like the weather was beautiful! Bright blue sky in each--except the evening pic, with the pretty sunset.

I loved the one of the pond. Lovely spot for a picnic. The old gas station was neat to see! Surely that's not a working pump, is it?

How's your internal plumbing?
If things aren't back to normal in a day or two, get to your doctor!!

Hey S! Thanks for your reply. The weather was awesome every day apart from the final day, which was a bit cooler, but I didn't mind, as it was better weather for the long drive back.

The photo of the tiger was taken from the other side of a thick piece of perspex which formed one of the sides of his 'cage'. It was a bit upsetting seeing all the beautiful animals in captivity though, particularly the white tigers. I don't like zoos, but took the girlfriend to keep her happy.

The gas station pump has been de-activated, so no - the pump does not work.

My internal plumbing is working just fine now, thankyou!

Lonewolf - sorry I didn't come to the chat mate. I fell into a Leffe induced sleep at around 11pm and couldn't make it. I'll hopefully be in there tonight.

Welcome back G Man. Great pics! I love the Eminem impersonation,heh.
That house is very like my sister's on Jersey except hers is made of big granite blocks,as is nearly everything else there.
It looks beautiful where you stayed.I think i'll go to the zoo next week when i go off.
I am unsure we needed to know all them details about your plumbing but thanks anyway.
