The G-Man has returned!

I was only gone a day or two - I'm off work for a week and so I decided to drive up to the Lake District. I spent a couple of days in the sunshine, wandering the countryside, with nothing but a Thermos flask of strong coffee to keep me company. I slept under the stars and fought with wild wolves for my supper. Below is a photo I took of a crazy pattern carved into a rock on the shore of a lake called Derwent Water. Rock on my droogs!

Hope to visit the Lake District sometime, but there is still so much to see in Scotland.

Nice picture. Someone must have been really bored to carve that into the rock.

Yeah dude - I'm heading up to Scotland in the summer to see the rocks. :D

There are lots of rocks with carvings on them in Scotland. :)

Last summer i went to the far northwest coast on holiday for a week. Was great. Some good hillwalking, cycling, fishing too - the lochs are crystal clear.

If you have a motorbike it must be heaven as the single track roads are amazing. Lots of bikes on the roads, no speed cameras either for miles and only 1 small police station to cover hundreds of square miles.

Also the beach was pretty cool. No rocks, but unfortunately the Atlantic ocean is pretty cold for swimming in September. There were only a few fools in the water. I was one of them without a wet suit. :D

Thanks my dudes!

Craig - those photos are awesome mate! I'm going to Scotland in July - I'm heading to a campsite in Kircudbright(?) which is near Dumfries, I think. Can't wait - I love Scotland.

Don - no - I didn't really rough it. I stayed a few nights in a B&B in a small village called Keswick. It was very nice, and the bacon and sausage in the mornings was excellent!

H - I love the fresh air. It makes me horny...

Some more pics...

Yes Kirkcudbright is nice. We used to go on holiday to a caravan park in Dalbeattie which is not too far away when i was young. Here's a nice link for more information on some of the best places to visit.

Nearby there is a nice village - Portpatrick. It is a nice village. You can also see Ireland on a clear day from Portpatrick.

Also as few miles away from Kircudbright is Twynholm. This was where David Coulthard was born. His father has a museum in the village which has a load of F1 memorabilia.

There are also many lochs and hills close by. Galloway Forrest Park is a good place to visit. Around Glen Trool there are many forest walks as well as one good one - The Merrick. This is the highest point in South West Scotland and the views on a clear day are excellent.

Oh and don't forget midge repellent. :D

The weather is great here today. I was out on my bike earlier, and came across this strange (but kinda cool grafitti). I had to get a snap of it.

Rock on my droogs!
