OMG - just saw Black Dawn.
It must be an all-time low for him: he is not even doing his own fights! Wassup with that? :smad:
I mean: in the staircase scene there is this really bad looking stunt double that just looks like the worst double ever! And his moves! OMG that doesn't even look like Aikido! The only thing I see him doing are a few hand moves.
And what's up with faking Amsterdam? Jeezz, ok they have Dutch license plates on the cars, but the last time I have seen a Lada (car) like that is 10 years ago!
Steven needs to get into shape real bad! It's pathetic how he looks now.
I am (still) a fan of Steven, but really: he needs to get his act together.
How can talented(?) people mess up this bad and what in heaven's name did Seagal see in this project that made him want to get into it?
I mean, in Into the Sun (2005) Steven Seagal looked in the best shape he was in since Exit Wounds. He truly showed off his hard to hand combat moves as well as his Aikido throws and some pretty damn good sword skills.
As some guy said on a IMDB forum (and I quote):
"(...)Seagal, doesn't fit the strong, silent type paradigm because he looks like a porky zombie on ludes (...)
Man, I am longing for the days when he did GREAT movies like Nico, Out for Justice, Under Siege, Fire down Below and Exit Wounds.
