In terms of hits, Van Damme's Under Siege is Time Cop, that was his biggest grossing movie. But I believe Van Damme's Above The Law type of movies, his best movies are Bloodsport and Kickboxer.

Yes I thought of these ones which were rather still very early movies-of the sort that were of better production and FX quality at the time though, earning them a theatatrical release as opposed to stuff like james ryans' 'kill or be killed' and 'kill and kill again'
Who remembers 'Black Eagle' with legendary ninja Sho Kusugi('pray for death' and 'vengeance mine')

...Quite intense for the era,Van Damme is a baddie too...and at his initial 'look at me Im beautiful,muscular and a movie star' stage. He gives a serious performance though,not unlike No Retreat...but a little better.

Black Eagle was pretty bad, the movie was very low budget but the fight scenes were really good, just straight up martial arts. Also its the only movie where Van Damme dies (if you dont count replicant). Much like No Retreat you will be saying "wheres Van Damme" because everyone else sucks.

I mean lets face it Van Damme is not as popular as he once was, his latest Wake Of Death was an average film and it showcased very little of Van Damme displaying any martial arts fight scenes, lets be honest this is a new era and Seagal and Van Damme I hate to say it are not as popular action stars anymore, now we have these half assed action stars like The Rock and Vin Diesel. On the bright side we still have Jet Li in his prime. ;)
