Hallarian--did you mean the song "I Am Woman" by Helen Reddy?
Even if not, these lyrics are perfect for you! :)

I Am Woman
Helen Reddy

I am woman hear me roar in numbers too big to ignore
and I know too much to go back and pretend,
cause I've heard it all before
and I've been down there on the floor
and no ones ever going to keep me down again.

Oh, yes I am wise
but it's wisdom born of pain
yes I paid the price
but look how much I gained,
if I have to ... I can do anything!
I am strong (strong) I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman

You can bend but never break me
cause it only serves to make me
more determined to achieve my final goal
and I'll come back even stronger
Not a novice any longer
cause you've deepened the conviction in my soul

Oh, yes I am wise
but it's wisdom born of pain
Oh, yes I've paid the price
but look how much I gained
If I have to
I can do anything
I am strong (strong) I am invincible (invincible)
I am Woman

I am woman watch me grow
See me standing toe to toe,
as i spread my loving arms across the land,
but I'm still an embryo
with a long, long way to go
until i make my brother understand

Oh, yes I am wise
but it's wisdom born of pain-
Oh, yes I've paid the price
but look how much I gained
If I have to
I can do anything

I am strong (strong) I am invincible (invincible)
I am woman

Wonder woman eh?:D

The Town I Loved So Well By Paddy Reilly

In my memory, I will always see
The town that I loved so well
Where our school played ball by the gas yard wall
And they laughed through the smoke and the smell
Going home in the rain, riding up the dark lane
Past the jail, and down behind the fountain
Those were happy days in so many, many ways
In the town I loved so well

In the early mornin’ the shirt factory horn
Called women from cryin’, the moor and the bog
While the men on the dole played a mother’s role
Fed the children and then walked the dog
And when times got tough there was just about enough
And they saw it through without complainin’
For deep inside was a burning pride
In the town I loved so well

There was music there in the derriere
Like a language that we all could understand
I remember the day that I earned my first pay
When I played in a small pick-art band
There I spent my youth, and to tell you the truth
I was sad to leave it all behind me
For I learned about life, and I found a wife
In the town I loved so well

But when I returned, how my eyes have burned
To see how a town could be brought to it’s knees
By the armoured cars and the bombed-out bars
And the gas that hangs on to every breeze
Now the army’s installed by that old gas yard wall
And the damn barbed wire gets higher and higher
With their tanks and their guns, oh my god, what have they done
In the town I loved so well

Now the music’s gone but they carry on
For their spirits be bruised, never broken
They will not forget but their hearts are set
For tomorrow they’ll have peace once again
For what’s done is done and what’s won is won
And what’s lost is lost and gone for ever
I can only pray for a bright, brand new day
In the town I loved so well

John Mellencamp's "Small Town"

Well I was born in a small town,
and I live in a small town. Prob'ly
dies in a small town, Oh, those
small communites.

All my friends are so small town,
My parents live in the same small
town. My job is so small town,
Provides little opportunity.

Educated in a small town,
Taught the fear of Jesus
in a small town. Used to
daydream in that small town,
Another boring romantic, that's me! :)

But I've seen it all in a small town.
Had a ball in a small town.
Married an L.A. doll and brought
her to this small town. Now she's
small town just like me.

No I cannot forget where it is that
I come from. I cannot forget the
people who love me. Yeah, I can
be myself in this small town.
And people let me be who just I want to be!

Got nothing against a big town,
still hayseed enough to say,
Look who's in the big town!
But my bed is in a small town
Oh and that's good enough for me.

Well I was born in a small town,
And I can breathe in a small town.
Gonna die in this small town
And that's prob'ly where they'll bury me!

That's the one all right. I love it. I used to know the words and some friends and I belted it out when a religious nut had finished a long insulting speech at our nursing conference about women's PLACE in life according to his interpretation of the Bible . it was not the topic he had scheduled. I doubt he ever comes back. If he does I'll sing it again.
