Why are these posts being locked {weight issue posts}

Why is it that every post that deals with Seagals image being locked? I'm talking about his weight problem. When you ignore problems things don't go away. We should be able to discuss it if we feel we want to. If you start name calling and telling people they are not "real" seagal fans than I think those are the people who should be banned not posts that people are actively seeking opinions and stressing there concern about that problem because it is a problem.

Don't say its been beaten to death, because there are SS fans joining here everyday and they have just as much right to post what they want as people who have been here since day one...

If he did something about it every problem he is facing today whether it be healthwise, financially, and movie wise would all heal up. No doubt about it- don't believe me, two words: Exit Wounds
(& that was not even half as good as his classic movies!). Even at 50+ he has so much potential and I honestly think there will never be another action star like him- its really a shame to see him bury himself with these movies lately. IMO I think if he got into better shape it would be like a chain reaction to all types of good things, I guess Joel Silver thought so to.

I think it's simply because the weight issue has been discussed endlessly and fruitlessly - the ladies come down on the side of his being sexier when he's on the heavy side, while the men come down on the side of wanting to see him trim and slim so he can whack the bad guys like he did in the good old days.

Same discussion; same arguments on both sides; on and on, in an endless repeating loop. The admins feel the topic has been done to death, and it should rest in peace.

I think if you go through past closed threads about his weight, you'll see what I'm talking about. It may be new to the newbies here, but for those who have been here longer, it's a dead horse that's been beaten beyond endurance.

I'm sure the new people should already know this in there hearts, We always wanted to see Seagal back in his normal weight, but everytime we talk about it and it starts to get ruff, then it's pointless because and like TDW said "We talked about it and it's an endless repeating loop" I think that pretty much tells us all.

When will you ****s wake up and smell the naplam in the morning...his career is OVER, not that he really had one in the first place... he never wanted to be in front of the camera he has admitted that himself...he wanted to direct and produce and write. I am afraid that most here have never understood the enjoyment of disagreement. This site welcomes whom agrees with them and casts away those who have differing opinions. Aikido boy you should know that is why the thread on weight is being locked. Leaving it open would mean having to deal with other opinions and they are not up to it here. Take it easy in NJ. PL

What did you two think about what I had originally said in my first post about his weight being the main reason he is in the drought he is in...Think about all of which it impacts when one choses to be an action hero. He has limited movement, and requires stuntdoubles for most of his scenes, even walking. He has limited screen time, or is masked behind big clothes or fancy editing/ or shadowy screens. Most of his fight scenes are very short now and the ones that are showng are usually just showing his hands which is not really the Seagal style. Now imagine all that being taken away, imagine what he could be doing right now.

His weight is a factor but I think that Seagal did not progress in the action genre. He peaked a long time ago. I believe he should have moved on to something else or to another aspect of the business. My point is only that I do not think he has grown as an actor nor do I think he intends to.

Let me ask you something? what does this do? locking a thread? It can be discussed in so many other places here or even in private sectors. Why do you feel not discussing it is helping anything?
