I really don't know why the new Seagal Movies aren't that good. I mean most fans don't want so much: Good One Liners and a lot of hand to hand combat. Is this so difficult????? I mean it isn't more expensive, its cheaper!!! When they cut out this crappy actionscenes and fill it with Steven Seagal Fights :)

If i were a director i would do exactly that what the fans want. I don't know why directors always making this crap.

I hope Black Dawn is at least "better" than the others...

Oh God, not another one of these threads. :D :D

Honestly, I think his time is up in the action movie buisness, he already accomplished beyond what most action stars could accomplish, he has nothing left to prove. I truley believe he is doing these quality films for the money now..

I think Suzi's right. Movies are the gravy train that let him live it up with his music. It's a shame, because his new movies are completely trashing his image.

True, but at least his music is great and is sending a message.

Yes i understand that he is not "interested" in making good movies, but that doesn't mean its not possible. I mean he can act like he act now, it doen'st matter for me, if the movie had enough Action-Scenes i would enjoy it.

I really can't understand why as example Into the Sun hasn't got more Action Scenes, WHY?????????

For the life of me i dont know why people always see the bad side of Steven (his acting) etc....that all we are focusing on lately iam always one that looks past that and see's the good side of him (his contribution to the countries) and time he has spent in helping in other areas we soon forget that dont we..iam going to stick by him till the end which an real fan should..so what if he might have lost his "mojo" in his films i will still see them because of who he is and admire him for trying to keep us fans happy ..so no more ohhh he is too fat, old, slow, whatever open your eyes and see him for the guy we love...(hopefully this post wont get deleted) ..

SYSTEM HAS FAILED...
Hofmae. Unlike robots, as humans get older, they get slower. This is why there is less action in Steven Seagal's latest films. Limited servicing and part replacement is available for humans. You may get a new hip or a replacement artery for your heart and become a cyborg... but a cyborg can still die as it is comprised of more human parts than it is machine enhanced. I have been around for 1000 years and I will be here for many more. I will be fast for eternity.

Goodbye for now, humans!

Nonono you all understand me false. I don't care if Steven get older and slower, thats normal. But as you see in some movies he's in good shape to do some Action-Scenes, so don't tell me: He's old and so on.

He can fight he's in good shape, and he is an Action Actor. He never played another movie than a action movie, so i wann see some Action. He can do it, he do what the director say's but i don't get why the directors don't put more action into the movie.

I think the stund double thing is brutal. There is no reason to have a scene where he jumps up to a Chandalire and kicks a guy and then does some moves (not sure what they are even). He used to blend action with his amazing Aikido skills, and most of that is gone. If I wanted to see someone else fight, I would watch a movie not starring Seagal.

He should, and I stress should, do his own fight scenes, it wold not be that hard. This is my own opinion, so I hope I do not get jumped on for expressing it. I like his movies, but at least do your own stuff (not 10% you 90% your double).

Yes i think that too, and im 100% sure that he is in enough good shape to do cool Aikidio Action.

yeah I definitely think that he needs to do his own fight scenes, nothing that crazy that would warrant a double, no chandelier jumps. Just aikido, he knows his stuff as far as aikido goes so he should utilize his skills again.

Bloody hell if 53 is old sheesh what are you going to say when he does get into those what i call "twilight years"...He does an hell of an lot better then other actors his age so come on whats the next complaint...and dont say his weight or i shall screammmmm..

The market fight in Into the Sun proved he's still got the ability to do the moves so why isn't he doing them? His early films relied on his moves, he did nothing fancy, such as chandalier hanging, but at least the moves were brutal and authentic and left the audience saying "Damn, how did he do that?!" That's the Steven we all loved.

that's no excuse, that would be like my dad showing up for work and doing a lazy job and then saying "hey Im freaking 53 years old, give me a break".

If Seagal is too old or tired or whatever his reason, then he should retire from acting. It's an insult to all his fans to make the movies he's been making. He obviously doesn't care about how the movie turns out, he just cares about getting paid.

I agree with you Tenshin. It is really depressing to watch old films like Above The Law, Marked For Death, etc... and see the quality of movies he is making now. Oh well, at least we have those old school movies to remember. ;)

I agree with the fact that he needs to do his own fights............I know that he still can, and you can catch glimpses of that in his recent films. Its like a spark that you wish would ignite into a flame. I dont care how old he is, how much weight he puts on, or how slow he gets.....if its him kicking *ss, than I'm happy. And I know from experience that the martial arts never leave you........the fighting spirit is always there somewhere.....and his overall skill has probably diminished less than some people think. He is a master.
