a small tribute to the legends and the heroes of physics

Albert Einstein is perhaps most well known for his 'discovery' and work on the Theory of Special Relativity. However, Einstein did not receive a Nobel Prize for that concept, as it violated classical physics (mechanics) and went against everything that Sir Isaac Newton made the public of that day believe. Such, made the issue of special relativity very controversial, and took approximately 3 decades to convince the worldwide scientific community that Einstein's brilliant discovery held true. The brilliant genius revolutionized the mind of a physicist forever. Einstein is said to be the scientist who contributed the most to the field of physics than anybody else in the history of science.

By the way Stephen Hawkings (a renowned astro-physicist, who is now paralyzed) holds a position of Lucasian Professor of Mathematics in the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics at Cambridge which was first held by Isaac Newton. His research on Einstein's Theory of Relativity showed that the theory in turn implied that space and time would have a beginning in the Big Bang and an end in black holes.

Smile dammit!
There have been unsettling stories lately that Hawkins was abused and injured by his wife and even carers. He had injuries, but refused to press charges. As if the poor fella didn't have enough to contend with.He was left out in his chair, unable to get out of the sun and got sunstroke.

sad but true

Storm those are not really rumours. It was published in the newspapers. Police was contacted by Hawkings' first wife, and the injuries were noticed. Police suspects his current (second) wife for the injuries, and several other nurses who care for Stephen Hawkings. The only troubling thing is, Hawkings did not apply any charges towards any one person. It could have been an accident, but it wasn't the first time of such occurance. It's sad how such a brilliant man is so helpless and cannot rise to his full potential due to his disabilities. I am glad however, that he still lectures and educates the public.

You might not have known this 4 ...

If you ever want to do a presentation of some sort and think - 'What colours should I use so that the viewers have the least amount of eye strain while watching?' or something in that line of thought - well, this 'mystery' of yours will be answered right here, right now: yellow letters on blue background - scientifically proven, trust me (LOL ... if that ever happens; but I'm not lying ... this time LOL - no seriously)!

And here's some more trivial knowledge you might find interesting, or helpful if you ever end up being asked the same thing on something like "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" or "...SUPER MILLIONAIRE..." :=)

Champagne is actually a 'brand' if you will, for sparkling wine. The title of 'champagne' given to the alcoholic beverage known as sparkling wine was 'patented' in a way so that only the sparkling wine produced in the Champagne province of France could be called 'Champagne' and thus be authentic. Such authenticity comes at a price ... high price. If you ever go to a restaurant and order a bottle of Champagne as opposed to sparkling wine (which could also be costly, but not in general), be prepared to pay on average, at least $100 per bottle (so don't have an empty wallet or a maxed out credit card, because restaurants where you can order such 'authentic' sparkling wine are usually quite stylish and you don't want to be black listed from one of those if you ever plan to bring a date there again :=) To you, and I, or any other 'average' individual, Champagne may taste just as good as your $20 bottle of sparkling wine (i.e. if it's 'Made in Italy' it's all good :=) you get from your local LCBO (or wherever you buy your goods ... and services LOL). However, the plain fact that the grapes were gathered in that part of France makes you pay more if you want that extra prestige assigned to your name. You may say it's overpriced, but so are Volkswagens (I'll leave other Germans out, as those are worth every penny if you've ever DRIVEN one), LandRovers, and Jaguars (Jaguars depreciate in value faster than any other make of automobiles exported into North America ... I wonder why), and people still buy them so there's business and so don't expect those prices to drop (especially with the continuous rising inflation).

was +78 to +88 Fahrenheit in the jungle and -40 in the mountains when I left. I'm bouncing home. I do mean bouncing and swerving. You can't believe these North Indian roads. My cold is much better, but Lizzie my laptop is dying. Need a new one. Airport security doesn't like all the duct tape on Lizzie any way. Happy Easter. Any word about Mama?????? Worried!!!!!

I think you've been studying too hard, Yudansha. :D

Take a break. Pray for the Red Wings. :D If they blow this with Nashville, Toronto is next on my wish list. ;)

A question for you hockey fan, but first here's a meal I'd like you to cook up:

So who's gonna cook up those plane tickets for me huh now that's the real question don't you think (I hope I had those types of questions on my exam LOL - easy stuff).

Serena: if Red Wings lose to Nashville then I hope San Jose wins the Stanley Cup so that then you can say that this was one messed up season. So I'll be saving all my prayers for the Leafs, and when Mogilny calls me up and says that they have got everything under control, I'll start that meditation for Detroit (I could never get what the connection is between 'wings' and 'cars' because the sign symbolizes Detroit as the auto city, but what do 'wings' have anything to do with it?)

Pride in our nation 'cause we're #1 and you know it, and if you don't - frying pan ..

Now back on track:
The "world's longest street" (not highway, although it used to be called Highway 11, back in the days of other Prime Ministers), the 1,896 km (1,178 mile) Yonge St. begins in Toronto at the shore of Lake Ontario, and follows the Ontario/Minnesota border to the town of Rainy River. The road actually crosses the river and the border into Baudette, Minnesota, where it joins U.S. Highway 11.

Oh, and if you don't know this by now, the highest free standing structure in the world is also in T.O. - The CN Tower - now try that for size Mr. Trump :=))

Unfortunately, we have to come at #2 in hockey, as all of you must know this - Russia is the greatest hockey land on Earth ... without an NHL team ... LOL (didn't expect that, did you :=)) - and Toronto Maple Leafs will WIN their Stanley Cup ... when Chris Rock actually becomes the President of United States :=))

You keep giving'em to me, and I keep hitting ...

LOL skyscrapers - Tora you know that Trump has his Towers that are 90 floors high, not those 30 floor high buildings you've seen standing around (I remember living on the 25th floor - LOL they called it a penthouse ... now there is another joke in there some where, but it's not suited here - perhaps for the chat next time I'm around :=))
