Mama-San,
The only thing that brought down the old site was the fact that it owned by two people who didn't give a toss. The arguments that occurred on the board had nothing to do with it. Even when that old board was at it's worst, it was ten times livelier than this one.
The stats speak for themselves. There are probably 5-10 people maximum who post on here on a regular basis. Where is the harm in having a little joke? It's not the fact that you edit any foul language - I don't have a problem with that - it's the fact that you edit posts for no reason whatsoever when they aren't offensive, just truthful.
You keep going on about the site being suitable for the 'younger' audience who visit here. What younger audience? 95% of Seagal's movies are 18 certified, so what are the little punks even doing on here? They should be in bed with a warm glass of milk and some cookies, not watching a foul-mouthed cook/Navy SEAL viciously stab Tommy Lee Jones in the head
Let's return to the dark days when LittleDragon was banned simply because someone was worried that his total post count was getting too high(!). Even one of your site moderators was so disgusted with his treatment on here by certain other moderators, they themselves have barely posted here since.
Let's move onto the (pointless) Seagal birthday thread. I say pointless, as the guy clearly doesn't care what his fans think (his latest movies have pretty much proved that) and there is zero chance of him ever reading it. Don Wilkey (possibly Seagal's most hubristically blind fan, the good Lord bless him) created an SS birthday thread, which was quickly shut down as was a couple of other members' birthday threads. The one that you started stayed open though. Funny that. Fair enough, you don't want too many threads cluttering up the boards, yet you start several birthday threads every day for members who never ever post! It seems petty for me to even mention it, but where was the harm in my daily posts in the SS birthday thread? You deleted them on a daily basis, so I posted them on a daily basis, just for you to delete. It was just a bit of fun.
As for me learning a few things from the bible thread - the only thing I need to know is the bible and religion (or at least, certain people's interpretation of it), has caused nothing but bloodshed and sorrow for two thousand years. To the criminally sane, certain parts of the bible can be a useful tool and an excellent moral guide. If you make a molten sea with a circumference of thirty cubits, you'll find that the diameter is 30/pi or 9.55 cubits. Or ten cubits, to round to the nearest integer. Indeed.
That's all for now!
