New Movie: Foreign And Domestic

I noticed that in the interview he did in Bulgaria he mentioned that he will be filming a new movie starting in August called "Foreign and Domestic". He only said that it will be filming in Alabama, nothing else. Can we get any further info on the plot and director of this movie from someone who might have some information?

Yup, it was mentioned at Vern's SeagalFest:

http://www.outlawvern.com/2014/06/20/verns-cinefamily-journal/

Editor Robert A. Ferretti, who worked with Seagal on Out for Justice, Under Siege and On Deadly Ground - as well as Out for a Kill, Today You Die and Mercenary for Justice, is doing "Foreign and Domestic" with him next.

It's quite a good title, but I'm guessing it might be rephrased/changed for foreign audiences, as it comes from quite a specific saying "all enemies, foreign and domestic", which - and I don't know - may not be translated directly into foreign equivalents. Honestly, I think it's a bit smart for a Seagal title (as in, the Studios he works with prefer dumb titles) so I suspect it'll get renamed Enemy Kill, or A Dangerous Kill, or A Good Kill or some stupid sh*t like that.

Cool title (it'd be nice if the studios had a bit more faith in his audience, regarding movie titles)
Which reminds me, didn't he have a project planned called 'Hands Off Approach' (or something like that?)

  1. I dont think this is a Waxman or Voltage Film

Agree, it sounds like something completely different with another director and crew. Not that I don't like Waxman but it's good to see Steven working with someone else.

I hope this will be something completely else than what we normaly get from Seagal. That usual Hero Saving The Day thing is getting boring, we should see him as a bad guy again.

Waxman does not work with Ferretti as editor

Also Ferretti has done 3 films in Alabama all with the same company....Hannibal Pictures who are a DTV company who did Rage(Nic Cage),Prince and Setup(Willis),Give em Hell Malone(Thomas Jane)

My guess is its with them not Voltage

Alabama as filming location sounds very interesting.

It’s almost July and if they really start filming in August, we should receive more informations soon…

Sounds great! Maybe his contract with Voltage Pictures has ended.

What about "The Foreigner 2" as movie title. :D

More seriously, I hote that Waxman is not involved in that project.

We need novelty!!

It’s a bit strange that there aren’t more infos now. It’s probably only 4-5 weeks before they start filming.

I wonder if this movie will have more budget than the latest ones.

I hope that they find some cool locations, did Steven already made a movie in Alabama before?

Not strange at all. It's often like that with his movies.
