I know this is a little late since the message board is back up and running now, but this is the reply that I got from whoever is taking care of Seagal's website.:D

Why do I get the feeling that whoever is running this site, they are not based in North America, and English is a second language for them?

And if I see one more plug for those products... grrr....

I get the same feeling. (i.e. "online store coming real soon" ... 'real soon' ? ... for an official site and for the way that SS is with words, that's not very fitting)

The page for an online-store is up, but it's as useful as the Welcome Video section.

Ok...for those who are worried that the new website is some dummy site possing as official...I went to the Steamroller site and clicked on the link, and it took me to the new website. I doubt that Seagal would have a link there to a fake site.

This does not give the impression of an "official site". If you look at the contact section you can see that it says the site is desigens by MAB Technologies, and hoover over it with your mouse you can see that the link goes to martinbatista@sbcglobal.net, this is, as far as I can tell, a free e-mail address provided by http://sbcglobal.prodigy.net/. The only two sites I found called this does not have any reference to Martin Batista. I also found another site desigend by MAB Techologies (http://bayareapianolessons.com/contact.html). The e-mail link at the bottom of the page also goes to martinbatista@sbcglobal.net, same as on Stevens "official site". I finally searched WHOIS to find out who the domain name was regitrered to, and what do I find, Martin Batista (Domain Name: STEVENSEAGAL.COM

This could off course be a friend of Steven, or he could have hired this guy to design and run his site for him, but it all gives me a very bad taste. Besides, like it has been mentioned here, the content seems to be copied from elswhere, no information seem to be personal. Just my oppinion, but this stinks.

Thanks, Nico. It does stink. You never know, though, the site shown right now could just be a teaser or might have a major overhaul some time in the future. It's not finished, yet, but so far, it's unimpressive for an official site.

I think I checked who is, and it said something other than this, but not sure...
Maybe worth another look...

Jalu, that link to www.stevenseagal.com has been on the Steamroller site since its inception. It doesn't take a genius to take a link from a legitimate site and connect it to a fake site. It happens all the time.

The fact that the information on the site mostly comes from us or has been stolen from other sites tells me that this so-called "official" site, isn't.

And it's even more suspicious that the domain name is registered to someone other than any of Steven's companies.

No, this stinks to high heaven. I think we've been had.

There is also a clear indication that whoever is working on the site is actually reading this thread for ideas. Note the improvements made to the message board after all of our complaints about it....
