Update on Halloween 9.

I love the Halloween movies..

Update on Halloween 9

As for "Halloween 9", that’s been quite a journey so far. We have a few different storylines we’re considering, all of which respect the classic mythology while trying to bring something new to the franchise. It’s been a real honor to work with the one and only Moustapha Akkad and his son, Malek. I mean, how many times have I seen his name in huge orange letters on screen!! Those guys are the keepers of the flame and I would hate to mess that up. I go on a lot of horror websites everyday, mostly as a fan, and I seem to read a new rumor every week about H9, none of which are accurate. Unless you hear it from Malek or myself, it’s just not true. But stay tuned, we’ll have some news soon!

More 'Friday the 13' News: Stars Unite in Short Film..

According to Emediawire, "2005 marks the 25th anniversary of the classic horror film that started it all, “Friday The 13th". The star of the film, Betsy Palmer, and “Friday The 13th Part 2”'s Warrington Gillette, will appear in the new short motion picture, Penny Dreadful, currently in production. As coincidence would have it, this reunites the actress that portrayed the camp counselor slasher herself, "Mrs. Voorhees", with her big screen son "Jason". they're all good (they are classic horror movie;)). i really like the 4th one, it's a summary of all the history of the evil cube. i know that mason have seen the 5th one (hellraiser inferno). for my part i hesitate on seeing it 'cos' you see pinhead just 3 minutes in the movie. But i've been told that the movie was good.:);)

I don't know if anyone has seen some of the latest crop of horror movies like The Grudge, Darkness, and Cabin Fever but, I give those all thumbs down.

Some mediocre horror movies include Ghost Ship and Wrong Turn.

Some recent horror movies I'd like to give a thumbs up to are 28 days later, Anatomy, From Dusk Till Dawn, and Fallen (if you want to consider Fallen a horror movie and I think it's pretty close).

Just sharing some of my opinions and recommendations.

i've seen the grudge. I think this movie could have been better but it was entertaining and the make up were good.

The ghost ship. It's not that good. At least the music is good.
Fallen is more a thriller but with something devilish. I really liked this movie. Til the end, you do't know what's gonna happen. :)
28 days later, however is a horror movie, the scenario is focused on the psychological aspect of the character. this movie is really a good one and so true in the study of the human psychology:)

a nightmare on elm street 2 a classic
Yes That's a great movie, but the third one is even better. Great story and pretty good actors and a great big chunk of comedy.

But I like to be scared and one of the most scariest moments in a movie is in "the Exorcist 2". There's a great scene that runs for a long time. first you expect something to happen, but after a while you get safe and then... there's a great scare there. I will try to copy this to my next short film.

"Dagon", a movie based on a novel by H. P. Lovecraft is also a bit scary. Many scenes are truly great and according to a friend I was near fainting at one point. I only know that it was a very macabre scene and I nearly couldn't se it. Great! :)

And I love Halloween.

i don't know that book of lovercraft but i'll try to find the movie. Almost all the movies (if not all) based on a book of lovercraft are quite disgusting.
Re-animator, from beyond....
thanx for the info Robert P olson
