What Is Your Most Favorite Seagal Fighting Move?

It has to be his Irimi-nage, kotegaeshi, and that finger lock he does. ;)

Yep the finger lock is great...how about the head lock in Fire Down Below that he used on the son to make him apologize to the lady before he passed out

Ye that was a great one Amos, he did another finger/wrist lock then he squeezed the pressure point on the neck to stop the blood from flowing to the brain, which can cause some one to get knocked out for a little while.

Im bad!
I like the holds and locks he does. Just so funny watchin him messin around with ppl gettin them in lots of arm twists etc when he could just hit them and take them out alot quicker.

Donald Lee Wilkey

A Steven Seagal fan
In a few of his films i particularily admired Steven Seagal's open palm strike to the bad guys' top portion of their foreheads. Knocking them off-balance and down to the ground. A very distracting counter-move on Mr. Seagal's part.

Three of my favorite are the bar scene in Out for Justice, the bar scene in Fire Down Below, and the scene at the club in Exit Wounds with the summo nigros.

I'd have to say his direct iriminage (entry). The trademark of all his films.

Of course it only works on people who are a lot shorter than you. If you look at the pool table fight in Fire Down Below, this big guy swings at him, and what does Seagal do ? He blends. No direct entry. Thats because the guy is too big and tall for that stuff.

Man there are so manyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy

His move in the jewelery store in MFD that was actually very difficult to watch the application but in the end of it he simply and very deliberately popped out the rastas elbow...and the opening move from US2...and basically all of his moves that require the principle of prepulsion(I think this is name for it).

sin duda los mejores movimientos son kotegaeshi y irimi-nage por la practicidad y movilidad en que los hace

Hahaha, I like the knife disarm technique he uses on Penn at the end of Under Siege 2 - simple but effective - he uses both hands to simultaneously slap the back of the hand that Penn is holding the knife in and the front of the wrist of the same arm. The knife goes flying off somewhere and then he beats the p*ss out of Penn!

yep theres plenty of those dexterious little moves and another fav is where the merc boss from ODG rises up out of the sludge with a shot gun only to be blown away by a nifty trick move...and in the same film a knifeman stealthly approaches hoping to ambush forrest but ends up wearing it through the throat.nice

my favorite was the two thumbs in the eyes move which Seagal did to Screwface in Marked for Death. I really practised that move and feel like it would work in a real fight against much stronger guys. I started calling it "BritneySpearsGuy Secret Weapon"

what about '28 Days Later' thumbs in the eyes move...ouch. Seagals special Fx on that was a bit cruddy, as a one off I love the front kick he gives Tattoo in OFJ towards the end.

Yes that is a great move to disarm a knife. I actually teach my students that technique as well, the trick to it is speed, because if you have no speed you dont have any momentum, and without that it will not be powerful enough to disarm the knife.
