I myself am not offended by any of Julie's comments (I am not a Christian) but I do feel there is a time and a place to be discussing it. Anthony Anderson's rape charges thread is not that place...

o good grief! another celeb rape senario? who knows what really went on - only those involved ... seems like the guys with $$ are the ones singled out. We'll never know the truth, but there's always two sides to every story. There's always the senario that someone put her up to it. Or perhaps the allegations are true. Bottom line is that such stuff makes sensational headlines, brings attention (albeit the wrong kind) to stars, and mints lots of $$ for the accusor. And people love juicy gossip.

I just meant that not every person believes what you do (religion wise) ... that's what I meant about 'opinion.' I didn't say you were wrong or that I was right or that my opinion was superior to yours. ONLY that those who do not believe in god (I'm not one of those...) would think differently. That was not against you.

You said: "there is ALWAYS one who does see it."
By saying 'ALWAYS' you included EVERYONE in that statement - meaning that everyone believes in God. But for those who do not, that statement would not apply.

I do value your opinions.

When I do not agree with someones beliefs here I do not go and remind them that for example: that I do not believe in Buddha or whatever, I don't know. I refuse to attack or belittle other faiths. I give my beliefs and wait for the crap to fly. Many times I have refrained from saying anything. I can't help but notice theirs does not get picked apart.

Others' beliefs do get picked apart, not always in a hostile way - read the thread Global Security Institute for example. Yudansha (Hi and I do not "agree" but we express opinions. Even though we all have different opinions and beliefs, we basically value and honour each other as human beings.

Julie - dear sister in God - please remember that no one other than God Himself is our Judge. Please do not base your feelings on how others feel about you or your beliefs. I learned long ago that to do so only brings unhappiness and frustration. It sometimes is difficult to understand what or why others believe - and that is their life to live. Stand strong in your faith and do not bother yourself with others' opinions and beliefs (or lack thereof). No one, and I mean no one, except God knows our inner Heart and Soul, and He is the only One who really matters. He is our Creator who sustains and nourishes us without difference. Does the rain only rain on certain people? Does the sun shine only on certain people? Likewise, God's Grace and Love and Compassion embrace us all regardless of who we are. His gaze is the only confirmation we ever need.
