It's almost midnight here and I have made the mistake of leaving the light on in the computer room with the window open. I only left the room for a minute, but now there is all manner of bugs and beasties in the room with me. I am trying to ignore them while I am typing... however, they are doing my head in... I am worried that they want to land on me and feast on my blood! I feel itchy. Something is not right. It's too hot. The flies are watching me through their compound eyes. They can sense my agitation. I am afraid of them. Anyhow - I'm trying to ignore them when I suddenly became aware of something watching me... I thought it was a moth. I hate moths. There's something about them which makes my backbone quiver! I like to twat them with magazines! A sudden big movement to my left startled me and when I looked out the window, I almost shat myself, as a large cat was looking back at me! Hahaha! Little ba$tard! I posted a picture of him. If you look closely at it, you can see a white moth on the window. Bloody thing. I'm going to kill it. Where's my hand grenade? I have called the cat Timothy. I think he would like some tinned peaches. I wish he would come in here and eat all the insects. I've had too much Budweiser tonight! Damn... Sorry for posting this craziness, but the little **** properly freaked me out! Hahaha!

Hmm - I must have been pretty tired/drunk last night - I just read my post again and can't remember typing it! Hahaha - that picture of the cat is too funny!

Amos - he scared the hell out of me, so maybe I'll adopt him and he can keep the burglars at bay...

Serena - I would never harm a defenceless pussy cat! (I just bet that the word pu$$y is edited out. Hahaha.) And his name is Timothy! However, I can see your confusion. I was going to kill the moth. Am I allowed to say the word kill? However, I spared it's life. It was asleep on the window this morning and I let it out and it flew away. I've just realised that Timothy has 'moth' in his name. Timothy. Guess I'll have to kill him too when I next see him!

Later.

Good story Glimmer. I had to bury my neighbour's cat on Sun.2 Bull Terriers broke it's neck and ragged it like a doll.I felt sorry for the old girl as she had had it 22 years. It may be same dogs that killed my pet a while back.
Then her husband collapsed out of bed and i had to lift him back in,not easy as he could not use his legs. Then he fell out again, split his head and was hospitalised.
My poor back!

If you can't handle the truth then I think I'm better off leaving this place altogether. Exactly WHAT is offensive about the word 'Goddamn'? You deleted it from the title, but not from the post. All I want it an explanation. Like I said - you are not editing because you are offended, but simply because you can.

As another adminstrator Glimmerman,I will say that Serena ain't editing posts just because she can as you say,it's because swearing ain't allowed when it becomes frequent.

Thankyou for that tremendous insight, Amos. Allow me to give you some of my own.

First of all, what's all this 'Serena' business? I never said that Serena edited my post and even if she did, I'd rather not know.

Second - swearing? Dude - how is Goddamn a swear word?! I can understand if I'd used the 'c' word or the 'f' word, which are both automatically edited anyway, but the word 'Goddamn', is as inoffensive as swearing gets. Like I said in my post, before whoever edited it kindly deleted a massive chunk of the text with no explanation whatsoever - you hear the 'f' word in PG-13 rated movies these days anyway. Further proof that swearing has lost most of it's power to offend. Have a look at this:

1965: Kenneth Tynan says '****' on TV and four motions are tabled in parliament
1976: the Sex Pistols use it on a teatime show and are banned from TV
2004: more than 10 million people watch John Lydon use the 'C' word and fewer than 100 complain

You may think I'm being silly complaining about one word, but it ain't the first time it has happened and where is it going to stop? It annoys me because I think - moderator or not - who the **** are you to delete my thoughts and musings, particularly if they are not offensive?

I think if people complain about posts, then they should be deleted. The majority of people on this message board are more open minded than that and certainly wouldn't be so petty as to change the title of a thread for no other reason than just because they can. I know you all like to flex your moderator muscles every once in a while, but I'd prefer it if you kept it to a minimum.

That's all. For now.

There's no need to be sorry Amos. I understand that you need to get your kicks somehow and if deleting my insight gives you a thrill then who am I to stop you? You even deleted the word 'hell'. It's no longer annoying me - I just find you petty and sad. You even deleted what I posted about LittleDragon. Do you have a problem with the truth? If you'd rather I didn't air the site's dirty laundry and expose some of the unkind stuff that goes on behind the scenes then simply be more careful who you offend. What are you going to do? Ban me for speaking the truth? Let's not forget which one of us was banned from the official site.
