Serena, actually there aren't any modern buildings...

... the buildings which you see there are all very old style architecture... alot of history there. And one more thing, all the churches there look like that (more or less ... some are larger and a bit more fancy but the style is the same) ... real gold on that roof!

Thanks, yudansha. It was impossible to tell from the aerial view, but they looked shiny and new. :D I've seen many historical cities in Europe and have always been fascinated with the architecture--not that I understand it, just enjoy it. :)

The Mary McDonald Preserve at Horseshoe Harbor, Keweenaw County, U.P., Michigan. I've been camping in the area. It's even more beautiful than this picture.

This is Castle Hill,which towers over the Huddersfield area in WestYorkshire,a few miles from where i live.It used to be a druid sacrificial place they say.I've been up there for a drink etc.
