Yeah thats why I feel cheated as a fan. If this is another one with half Seagal half Stunt doubles, then I must say that I am done with his films. There is a limit to how much I will put up with now.

I do hear what you are saying Mason Steven shouldnt give his fans false hopes..why cant he be there mingling with the other actors and be only to happy to have pics taken with his co stars and stop being an stuff shirt

They must think that they can use Seagal's stuntdouble in 50 % of the film, then the other 50% will propably consist of Seagal and his voice being dubbed again, and then they think the fans wont notice it.
Why is it that 90 % of the time Seagal has a chance of manking a good movie, bad siqns apear and bad decision are being made on the set? I actualy think I can answer that myself, because he shows no interest in being on the set at all. I think he is doing this whole movie thing for the money now not because he love films anymore.
This is seriously giving me a psychical headache. I gotta take a valium and lie down.

Seagal isn´t interested at all in all those C-movies. His glorious A-movies are long gone. His last Warner movie (Exit Wounds) was back in 2001.
That´s ten years!!!!!! He gained probably 30-40 pounds.
His motivation is gone.
He takes the money and that´s it.
Instead he tries to make a name for himself in training Mixed Martial Arts fighters. A very controversial issue because a lot of people don´t think that Aikido guy Seagal can show them anything in particular for their fights.
Lot of people think it´s all propaganda. Machida and Anderson Silva train with Steven. They film it on camera and that makes them more popular in the USA.
It worked. Seagal, Machida and Silva got a lot of publicity.

He was great in Machete last year, but okay that was a small part. Other than that he has done only B films with a big B for the last many years. I dont mind straight to dvd films but even his straight to dvd films has been beneath avarenge standard film makings, and what does that tell you? That he dosn't care.

I'm a fan of Seagal because og his movies, and as a fan I dont know why I'm continuously putting up with this charade of bad movie making. Stuntdoubles are for stunts to dangerous for the actors, not for fightscenes or regular walk and talk scenes. I understand if he needs the paycheck to feed his family, but then atleast make a great movie and be fair to the fans, instead of doing a B movie and screw the fans over again and again and again.

Any actor has double in the fights. You just have to understand that Steven almost 60 and he can not jump as young. Look at the final duel in the movie Machete. In the duel were doubles and Danny Trejo and Steven Seagal. When attacked by Seagal, the defending double Trejo. When attacked Danny Trejo, the defending double Seagal.
That's OK, because any damage to the shooting at that age is dangerous. Stallone on the filming of The Expendables in a fight with Steve Austin, was neck injury and there are now a plate. So think about whether such a risk at that age.

Agreed. I haven't watched a few of his movies for that reason. Haven't bought or watched any of the True Justice movies that have been released in the UK. I consider myself a fan, but i am not wasting my money or time any longer. Ok i see the point that a stunt double is required for dangerous stunts, but we have seen the stunt double walking down a street and loads of scenes where it is just a rear view shot. The dubbing is another thing that i don't like. There are no excuses for this! Steven Seagal signs a contract for a movie they should make sure he is available once it has finished shooting if they want to alter the dialogue.
There is also no excuse for people blaming the low budget too, there have been loads of low budget action movies shot for 15-20 million that are successful and look great.

I totally AGREE with you Heather.Sad isnt it when Steven cant be bothered to have his fans see him on the set of another movie instead they put up pics of some guy that doesnt even bloody look like him ..what the hell? us the fans aint that stupid think Steven should get his act into gear and do the right thing by us his fans ... if his co stars can take the time out and play up to the camera he can too .. dubbing ?? better not bewhen i buy his movies i want to hear HIS voice not some want to be not too much to ask ..

Look at Betty White she's in her 80's.... she can still walk around the set and mingle and talk to people.

Yeah Stunt Doubles are everywhere! I recently watched Commando on Blu-ray (Schwarzenegger) and the stunt double is obvious at times. Maximum Conviction sounds like an Awesome movie!! I'm also a big Stone Cold Steve Austin fan. Should be cool to see Seagal & Austin team up to kick ass!!!

This is where I get concerned that he has health issues....maybe Congestive Heart Failure or another cardiac condition...if this is the case, he would have to limit his exertion considerably....
But Steven being Steven, (and he has every right to do this) he has always been very private with his personal issues...
I just hope that I am wrong, and this is not the case...but having worked in healthcare...I know what a person's appearance is typically with this condition
