It's probably budgeted at $5-$6m?The movie looks cheap.
The official "Expendables 3" trailer is now online. It looked much better than "A Good Man" despite it was filmed in Romania.
I hate Romanian places and their actors as well.
If I´m in Seagal mood, I ´ll watch his first 5 movies. I love them all. That is Seagal and not the Seagal in 2014.
By the way, Seagal is tomorrow in Germany. He will be 50 km from my hometown. He will be at the opening of Planet Hollywood in Duisburg.
I completely understand where everyones coming from about the movie being filmed in romania.
Why not look at it this way? How many movies has seagal made in romania? Why dont be judge the movie off every movie hes made there? Maybe it will be his best film he ever made in romania? Look at it that way.
I know most of the times movies arnt the best even seagal movies but base it off the movies hes made there & well compare it to the other movies I think that will make it a good movie
It's probably budgeted at $5-$6m?
It's 'advertising' budget is probably 3 or 4 times higher than the entire budget for A GOOD MAN (you are aware of that, I hope?) So it can obviously have more elaborate action sequences, etc.
So by that rationale, you *should* hate EXPENDABLES 3 then?
So you visited a topic entitled 'NEW SEAGAL FILM - A GOOD MAN' why exactly?
That's nice to know, but unless Germany are at the forefront of 'Time-Travel-Technology', I wouldn't think that anything Seagal does (in 2014) would interest you?
I'm not sure why you think the film looks cheap? The trailer shows a wide variety of locations, has explosions, helicopters, gunplay and (most importantly) fights. If this looks cheap to you, please advise me of any 'really expensive looking' movies that seagal has made in the last 10 years. In my opinion, A GOOD MAN looks more elaborate and spacious than any of his more recent efforts. I enjoyed MAXIMUM CONVICTION, but it essentially took place in an abandoned prison (and a bar) throughout it's 98 minute running time. Ironically (apart from the top flight supporting cast) UNDER SIEGE (probably Seagal's most popular movie) is set in the one location throughout, and looks extremely cheap in hindsight (despite the fact that it wasn't)
I'm all for a difference of opinion (and love a good debate) but your contradictory outlook (given your stance on "2014 Seagal") lends little weight to your comments (as you seem prejudiced from the outset) and makes me wonder why you visited *THIS* topic in particular (or at all?)
People around here would do well to remember that Seagal is (primarily) making low-budget non-theatrical movies. Comparing such movies to Hollywood blockbusters (with ten times the budget/resources) is a fruitless task, and likely not worth anyone's time (especially your own) or even the bandwidth required to physically type it out.
I pretty much enjoy most of Seagal's DTV movies (some more than his theatrical releases) and as long as the plot isn't too convoluted, the doubles/dubbing aren't overly intrusive, and the 'Sensei' is kicking ass...Then I couldn't care less about the budget or location (nor the date, his weight or the supporting cast) I think he's on a pretty solid run of good, well-made movies of recent...But that's just my opinion.....I'd like to hear *your* opinion, but sadly you've pretty much stifled it from the get-go?
