Hello All,
Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Gary Gabelhouse and I'm from Nebraska. My major interest is the martial arts. I have studied Karate and Kobudo (ancient weapons) for the past 15 years. I have studied Daitoryu Aikijujitsu for about 10 years. Daitoryu is the forerunner of Aikido. I would say that the Aikido Steven Seagal does is very "Daitoryuish."
I have a media research firm and am also a recently published author. My first book "Dreams of the N'dorobo" is now available. You can check out my web site at www.gabelhouse.com .
My hobbies include bonsai cultivation; oil painting; pottery; and all outdoor pursuits--mountaineering, x-country skiing, canoeing and adventure travel. I have spent a lot of time living and climbing in Africa, Europe, South America and Asia. I do yearly trips to Japan to train martial arts. I also do an annual retreat to the Shingon Buddhist monasteries in Koyasan Japan.
I am very taken by Steven Seagal's dedication to his art and his spirituality. Sure, he has his warts, but don't we all.
Glad to be here.
Best Regards,
Gary Gabelhouse
