Out For A Kill

I don't watch/buy videotapes any more, mostly because I have no room to store them.

As for B&N, because I'm in Canada and have only the US/Canada Post delivery option (if I want to keep the price of the DVD under C$100), there's no real way to track it, so it could be anywhere....

WAIT A MINUTE LOTUSSAN !!!! :mad2: :mad2: :mad2:

U go on about me and the rest of us being unrealistic....this coming from the same person who sits in this forum and acts out her "fantasy's" about steven seagal.....Unrealistic ??? i think this is a case of the pot calling the kettle black !!!........

For your information i DID NOT pick apart the film (Out For A Kill) i merely stated my opinion (of which as a paying fan of stevens) i am intitled to , I said that steven seagal does not have to rely on special effects and slow mo bullet time as the man has the talent to do things the old fashioned way ( marked for death, glimmer man , fire down below, above the law, hard to kill.....need i go on )

Also your remark about the difference between men and women being able to judge a movie ( which when u look at it is what this is about) is a very sexist and immature remark, your feelings are obviously based on the fact that you are in love with steven seagal so therefore you are not making an unbiased opinion .....its like "nobody can come on here and say the least little criticism about Steven " because lotussan will simply NOT HAVE IT !!!!!

99% of the time i enjoy mr seagal movies this was the exception as i pointed out for many reasons that were beyond stevens control , it may be the only bad film in his career for all i know but provided i am not coming on here and savaging steven seagal i dont see what YOUR problem is apart from the make believe romance you have going on with him in your head !!!!

GROW UP LOTUSSAN REAL ADULTS are allowed opinions !!!!!
Zen Man - I agree with this and I agreed with your review.

Peace,

GlimmerMan

Doesn't B&N have a tracking option to click on..it should be able to tell you exactly what office your items are at....
and I don't think you'll find the movie yet in a retail store until after the rental run(30-90 days)..that's also when the videotape price will drop to $15 instead of $110...lol

DVIX-City please don't encourage people to download full Steven Seagal movies. This results in lower sales which in turn lowers future movie budgets.

Well, frankly, I'm speechless,
grrrrrr...
Very sorry that you didn't like
the movie...
Sad to say, but Steven is not in
control of everything that goes on in
the film and that alone might even make
him feel frustrated, bored or indifferent...
Keep that in mind...
I agree, the director did a bit of a poor job
that is true...
Maybe Steven is a bit tired and needs
to take some time off instead of
working so hard making movies
that people pick apart so ruthlessly...
I still say you all are unrealistic, but
then maybe I am too...
I simply go with the flow, I don't pick
apart every scene, but I guess these
are slight differences in men vs. women...
Doesn't anyone try to focus on the
positive anymore? Sheeesh...

Got a Question, how **** do you know what anyother human being feels?
'specially one you've not met.
And there is such a thing as being a possitive Realist!
I've always got hope and possitive outlooks coming out the wazoo, but there is a time not to have blind optimism! You must have a balance for both.
And it just so happens, so some people are balanced they let out some of their angers and negativity at this bored. It's happened since the invention of the Message Board online.

one word.
Fargo!

I finally got round to watching Out for a kill, and....

I didn't think it was that bad.

I have had a bit of a break from posting on here because I offended some people by calling Steven a fat slug, for that I appologise. So I thought I would wait till I had gotten up the guts to watch it before I posted again.

After reading what you lot thought, and a thread comparing it with HPD and the foreigner, and mostly coming out on top or in the middle, I was looking forward to seeing it.

Well, the direction was bad, and the film badly put together (just like the foreigner), Oblowitz, butting in too much detail, were he should just get down to it. Some FX were very shoddy, why they had to do a blue screen for the two cops standing in a field I don't know.

But what really stands out is the fighting. I have said this all along, what are Segal films all about, Action and fighting. His last few has had little fighting and when it did, they used doubles. I was overjoyed to see steven not giving a **** about his excess body weight, and actually getting down to the actiona nd fighting himself, proving he still can do it.

This is all I wanted, for steven himself to do some work, no matter how crap the film is itself, for him to do the fights and plenty of it, was worth the money in itself. I had previosly called him a fat slug, because he seemed lazy, by not doing his own work, but in this film he has proved me wrong. Overweight he may be, but who cares, he still kicked arse.

If HPD had had this much Seagal fighting in it, it might have ranked up with his best, but it didn't. But I do hold out hope for his next few films, all have good directors and that is what makes or breaks a film.

It's good to be back

It's one of the things I like about this board, that there are so many from outside of the US, Canada and the UK who post here. It's quite refreshing.

However, I wouldn't presume to teach anyone English unless they asked. I only "interpreted" what divx-city said because Mama san asked.

-TD, hoping she didn't offend anyone by "interpreting"

Thank you for the offer, but I'd rather not. First of all, it's illegal, and secondly, I would rather pay to purchase Steven's films, even if they are not good, in the hopes that the few cents off my purchase will go towards more films with him in it (and better ones, one can only hope).

Welcome back.

Glad you liked the fights :)

I'm sure the other members will forgive you for calling Seagal "a fat slug"!You have apologised and admitted you were wrong.

Peace,

Lotussan

I Belong To Steven
I watched half of OFAK, again last night, and was very impressed by his skills...
And he is not at all fat in my opinon, he is simply a big, tall, handsome man, and very attractive, indeed...
I must admit that I have never been so drawn to a man quite this way, before...
He's got something very, very special...:)

Guess Whos Back !!!!
Lotussan ,

You need to get a grip .....seriously you are the kinda fan that steven seagal would shy away from , have you seen the film "Fatal Attraction "?

You are a bunny boiler , its one thing being a fan of steven's movies but your sick love fantasy's are getting way oot amongst it ......

I think you need professional help .....

HONESTLY !!!!

ZenMan,
You are entitled to your opinion here.
Admittedly, Lotussan can go a little
overboard at times but being a member
of this board she does have a right to
her opinion too! She doesn't follow him
around or bombard him with letters or
phone calls so I don't see stalking as an
issue where she is concerned.
She's really not bothering anyone by
stating how she feels. In fact I think she's
kind of cute. She, like a lot of us here, is an
adoring fan. I can see nothing wrong with that.
God bless,
Mama san

WoW!!! I don't think we have ever had so much hot debate
about any of his films before. I thought his fights were good
even fighting that crazy little guy in the barber
shop who was a fly on the wall one minute and a
monkey on the floor the next.
Steven certainly can't be blamed for the weak story
bad cutting. He did his part but he just can't make the whole film work
by himself, no one should expect him to..

I still say it's a very poor film and I have a bit of a crush
on the man too.

Mama San I support what you say about each of us having the right
to our opinion as long as we don't malign each other or
Steven. This is a clean board and I like it this way.
