"Steven Seagal meets orphan children
Dana Milea

American action-movie star Steven Seagal met a group of children from an orphanage to promote the campaign "Be Intelligent, Not Violent!" initiated by the Bucharest police. According to a press release, the ten children were invited by the actor to attend the shooting of several scenes from the film "Enemy of the Unseen," Seagal's latest action flick, which is being filmed in Romania. Seagal, an actor who has mainly played in violent movies and is also known for his skills in martial arts, said his intention was to prove to children that the "fights" in the movies are not real and that violence is always defeated by intelligence.
The photos of the American actor and the children will be used in the production of educational material for students and posted on the campaign's Web site www.stopviolentainscoli.ro.
"Be Intelligent Not Violent!" was launched by the Bucharest Police and the Bucharest School Inspectorate and is aimed at deterring violence in schools. The initiators of the campaign want to involve as many public figures as possible in the fight against school violence. "

Disgruntled fan!
I love it how an actor known for making primarily violent movies, who has rammed a corkscrew into someone's head, can go do anti violence campaigns! That's gold.
It's like asking the Terminator to run for Governer (oh wait they did, tee hee!)

Apperently they are gonna ask Michael Jackson to head up the Nspcc.

Why is it that he spends so much time visiting childrens homes and helping disadvantaged children but he never bothers to speak to his own American children. I know he sees the oldest two in Japan, but I am sure the others would appreciate some of his charitable time!!

I think his own children would really like it if he cared about them too. Analisa and Arrissa haven't seen or heard from him in several years, doonic has seen him once, and savhanah very rarely sees him although he does call her - not a great father ... perhaps charity should begin at home!!!

He makes himself a public figure by speaking out (quite rightly) about things he believes in, therefor he leaves himself wid open for the public to see if he practises what he preaches. He financially supports his children, but he does not see them, send them presents or in the case of the older three, analisa, Dom, and Arisa, talk to them or have any idea what their lives are about. He is not a good father to them, and yes, I was told this by a very close member of the family. Having said that, he still does good work for others, just a pity he can't make time for his own!

Oh it is really sad to hear this if it is the truth. But i think it is easier for a father ,who is parted from his children,to do good things for other people then for his own children.
But he is not my father, very good, and so i can love him and his work
