Cool. Also I noticed that when you post in the Futher Off Topic section it doesnt add to your post counter, that is smart and I think that is a good thing.

Thanks Craig!!

Also I noticed that the Further Off Topic threads do not come up on the main index or are shown on the New Posts section, wont that be hard for the mods since they have to read every post?

I turned them off for the main index.

The do show up as new posts. ;) This is the new message read marking system. As you posted replies they are not then new posts for you. Hope that makes sense.

Like another person said, what is the point of all these changes if no one is posting?

Not to sound selfish just to bring up another point.

But Craig like I said before this is great and we are very thankfull.
And why do you think so few people are posting? After that fiasco in July for the whole world to see.(both sides of the fence were not faultless) There was a lot of whining and loss of tempers and words that should have never been said to another human being. What did we gain?

I've just encountered an odd problem, Craig.

I tried to update the first post in my Steven's Upcoming Movies thread, and for some reason, it keeps truncating about halfway through a sentence from the July 27th item.

Even when I eliminated the first half of the list, it still truncated at the same point.

When I posted the full list in a new reply, there was no problem.

????????????

--------(later)

Okay, I seem to have it working now; I have to open the Advanced window and work from there instead of in just the first level edit window.

Bizarre. Want to add that to your list of odd things to remember about this upgrade?

And that colour selection option is making my tired old eyes bleed from its tininess :(.

Strange maybe a bug in the new quick editor.

What colour selection opition? The old styles are still available.

When you're selecting colour for text, it's offered now in tiny little squares instead of the wider colour bars with colour names. Takes less space, but what happens if you've got a twitch and can't hold the mouse steady?

I thought perhaps the quick editor had a character limit, but a couple of experiments revealed that that was not so. As far as it was concerned, there was no text after July 27th regardless of where I snipped the beginning and that was that. ?????

The font colour drop down like in the image attached?

Yes, that's it. Tiny, very, very tiny. My poor, old eyes... (my opthalmologist tells me my eyes have deteriorated faster than they should have, and my eyes, compared to the rest of me, are about 18 years older than my actual age).

Very, very tiny little squares...

-TD, advancing decrepitude
