I am sorry, i don't know for sure. probably it's Marriott, but it's hard to find out. They have special rules concerning such guests. I suppose the rules are more drastic now, before the NATO summit.
Besides, he is filming. so he can move in different locations.

I can understand why Steven makes films in Romania. The crews are reportedly excellent and professional to work with and I know that companies like Charles Band's Full Moon have made many films there. Obviously it costs much less to make films in Romania which is a major incentive but it's good to see the crews there getting the work.

Huh? I think you have missed a few films that Seagal shot in Romania (with Castle Studios). They were, how can I put this delicate, crap!

Support actors were bad, SFX were really bad, visual quality was bad and many production mistakes were made.

There are more actors who have made movie in Romania or Eastern Europe and to be honest, the ones I have seen were really bad.

So I don't understand why he has returned to the country and make a movie there. He himself has stated about the movies he made over there are the worst in his career.

Peace

Oh yeah...and he makes bad movies there, just because they are cheap. Do we still talk about Steven Seagal? Or maybe I was wrong, and in this case he is not a profesionist.
Peace

I was being polite and didn't mention the actual quality of the films themselves. Yep, some of them are crap, that's true. However I don't blame the hard working crews for that. I'm sure they do the best they can, especially with the budgets they have to work with. Most of the problems with these films arise from the story still being changed during post-production by producers. A great example is Attack Force. It was originally supposed to involve aliens but this was changed in post to European gangsters, which resulted in more voice dubbing and poor editing. That's hardly the fault of the Romanian crews who work on these films.

I did not realize that. Definitely a good reason for a movie going down the tubes. That is like them changing Independence Day and having Will Smith and Jeff Goldblum battle Pesci and DeNiro :)

That may have been better than the ending they actually used ;) I know I'd pay to see that :)

That's funny, I'm watching Independance Day now.
I don't get how post production can change things so dramatically. Why don't they stick to the story as written and agreed and filmed, surely that would give a better end result.

There seems to be an assembly line mentality when it comes to films when they are looked at more as product to fill cinema seats or video store shelves. Just pump 'em out and don't worry about the story. This happens with mainstream multi-million dollar movies as much as it does with DTV films, especially when it's been presold with a release date and a star who attracts a large audience.

Can't help thinking they would make more in the long run if they didn't mess around so much with stuff because surely they incur costs wasting all that time they spend mucking up a perfectly good film in post production. :(
