Make your mind up Glimmer. Earlier you were amused by it! I was just playing. Nick kind of got on his "intelligent" high horse lol.

Everyone else here is not afraid to express what they like, like our token intellectual.
I guess beating every kid in my school at exams makes me one too eh? Heh.

I'm all for freedom of speech and have criticised Seagal myself at times, but the site is lop sided with negativity. Everyone here knows it..

The point that you either are a fan or not is valid.

The reason there alot of negativity is because his lastest movies give alot off alot of negativity themselves. They also provide alot of of reasons to be negative towards Seagal.

Good post, Storm. I agree 100%--as the saying seems to go around here. :D Ever notice that review time for a new movie is the only time we see a few people? :D

So, let's start a little positivity. ;) Did anyone happen to catch Gunslinger's post about the rating for "Today You Die"? A couple of members in this thread speculated that it may not come out because of the lawsuits, but this post may mean otherwise, eh? :D Thanks again, Gunslinger. :)

According to www.filmratings.com, Today You Die has been rated R for Strong Violence and Pervasive Language. The copyright holder is the now, thanks to the lawsuit, infamous Kill Master Productions.

It looks like Nu Image will be rleaseing the film around October/November as planned otherwise they wouldn't have wasted the $10-12,000 dollars it costs to submit a movie to the ratings board.

To be honest this far in to this Topic I still think we are divided. We haven't exactly come any closer to solving any issues. I feel like "BillyRayLancing" understands what I am feeling right now. I also feel like I agree at times with Glimmer and TD.

I described my feelings in an intellectual way because that's how I am every day. I read, write, and watch things that can be considered intellectual. So Storm misunderstood me a bit. A common occurrence. I wasn't offended I was actually amused by the childishness. And when the personal teasing started I simply hinted that it was pointless. Why? Well because I win more or less all these personal attack posts towards me. But it's a waste of my time really so let's not start this again.

I don't think Suzi is pathetic. Did I ever say this? Obsessed perhaps but this doesn't exactly make you pathetic since you seem to have a life. I respect what you do in terms of Updates for this site and I appreciate it.

What Storm and Serena seem to want is for me to pick a side. This isn't a battlefront it's a discussion. I clearly stated that I have been an avid Steven Seagal Fan since I have been 7. I will be his Fan for life. Just like I am a Fan of Chuck Norris(Through he barely makes any movies now), Jean Claude Van Damme, Jackie Chan etc

Criticizing him doesn't make me a non Fan. From your perspective it might. But that is your own perspective. I could care less about it since I have my own. I know in my heart I will always be a Fan. I am still anticipating his classic film going back to the days of glory. It is just hard to anticipate with everything going on right now. Maybe you chose to ignore this well I can't anymore. Enough is enough.

You are right Serena when you sad there's just so much a person can take. And that is true. That is so much this Realistic Fan can take. It does not matter if every film he makes from now on is good or bad. What might happen is me just stopping to watch his newer films like another member. There's a way to end the disappointment in a sensible way.

For example when I first saw his old, classic movies in TV, I didn't really care. "What a sadistic film..." - I thought. But when I watched Ticker, I began to be interested in him. So please, don't be so sure that the only way to think about his newer films is that they are crap.

It is not true, that who doesn't criticize him is blind or not a Realistic Fan. I am a realistic fan, and I don't feel disappointed because of his performance. Every actor has better movies and not so good movies. And a film's quality is depending on the work of lot of people, and not only on Seagal.

Good post Kcs.I think all this has pretty much run it's course without getting anywhere,as per:D
For the record,me and Suzi go back years and in all that time i have never seen her do a negative post. Never pathetic at all. She's highly capable.
No need to get stressed Nick:D Deep breaths!

Obviously you misunderstood my post again. This doesn't stress me. There are more important things in life than childish arguments on message boards. Unless for some this is their life ;) I have been completely in control over my posts and thoughts. Some people like Serena etc loose control once in a while. It's a human flaw: anger. But being positive all the time and letting these feeling boil inside you isn’t good either.

My posts might seem infused with angry feelings. But in reality they aren't. I am just tired but not angry. Just like Serena is tired seeing negative things being sad about Steven I am tired of the constant praising when he doesn't deserve it. I already explained that I can either criticize or applaud him. He himself earns each of those feelings from me as a Fan.

I've heard several people say they don't read a thread once it gets too long. :D
So, in case anyone may have missed this, I thought I'd bring up this post by Ed.
It was quite an interesting read and I think some of you may enjoy seeing it. :)

Seagal slapped with 'Mercenary' lawsuit

Distribs claiming thesp caused prod'n delays

By SCOTT HETTRICK

Steven Seagal and his companies Steamroller Prods. and Luminocity Media have been sued for $14 million by DVD movie producers plus distribs Kill Master Prods. and Nu Image.
Kill Master and Nu Image claim in a suit filed in L.A. Superior Court on Monday that Seagal's on-set behavior during the production of two movies currently in post-production, "Today You Die" and "Mercenary," caused production delays that could result in millions of dollars in reshoots.

The plaintiffs also claim that Seagal's frequent, unapproved and unauthorized changes to the script and dialogue will result in the loss of millions of dollars in sales commitments because elements of the film that were promised now cannot be delivered to the film buyers.

Suit also alleges that "Seagal and his entourage continually harassed, intimidated and threatened the production and members of the production team with requests and demands that were inappropriate, outrageous or not contractually required."

The plaintiffs claim they have already paid Seagal $3.5 million of his $4.75 million salary for his work on "Mercenary."

The suit says that Seagal showed up on location in South Africa for "Mercenary" only "begrudgingly" and when threatened with legal action.

Seagal attorney Marty Singer called the suit "ridiculous and without merit" and "a clear preemptive strike" to a suit that Seagal was preparing to file against the plaintiffs alleging fraud; it could be filed as early as today.

Singer said attorneys and Seagal agents at William Morris notified Kill Master and Nu Image more than a month ago about substantial complaints of fraud they were bringing against the production in South Africa, where, he said, a criminal investigation into the loss of millions of dollars is under way.

An estimated $5 million-$7 million of the $13 million-$14 million production was not put into the pic, Singer said, which will damage the chances of the film getting a theatrical release in any territory.

On Tuesday evening, the day after the suit was filed, Nu Image offered to pay Seagal $650,000 of the remaining $830,000 he is owed on final payment of his salary for "Mercenary," according to Singer. Nothing was mentioned at that time about the suit, which Singer said came as a surprise to Seagal on Wednesday.

As to the claims of misconduct during production that caused delays, Singer said the pic, which was shot in April and May, was completed under budget and on time.

Attorneys for Kill Master, who filed the suit, did not return calls for comment.

As some of you know, I am Mr Seagal's legal counsel in Thailand. Wherever a star like Seagal travels, he is an easy target for false laysuits and false claims. I urge all of you to kkep an OPEN MIND. There are two sides to this stroy and I believe Steven will be vindicated

My own experience with Mr Seagal in Thailand suggests he is a professional and a perfectionist and if there were production delays in Africa, it is likley they are not his fault

It is easy to file a lawsuit and make headlines, but when Seagal wins the case, where the headlines be then?

Don't belive the hype. He has good lawyers on his side and there will be a compelling defence to the suit

My bet is on Steven

Serena- thanks for reiterating the post from Thai Ed. It is indeed quite interesting!
As for this thread, lol, it reminds me of the old clone wars! But that's another story altogether and it is past this old lady's bedtime ...
BTW, I admire and respect Chuck Norris very much - esp his work with Kick Drugs Out Of America program and the stuff he does in the real world. He is about 65 right now, and the father of twins and I'm sure that keeps him and his wife very busy.
Peace
p.s. I fixed the spelling for "Chuck" ... lol ... must've been hearing the church bells ringing down the street ... or hearing bells from somewhere ... dang it's a beach getting old!
