What Type Of Diet Are You Following?

Just curious, but what type of diet do you follow?

Are you on a weight loss diet?

Do you avoid anything?

If so, why?

I am vegetarian mostly, since thanksgiving (except, I have had clams twice)

And considering eating meat again for my health (very distraught at this idea, though) but all this thinking just made me curious as to what all of you are eating...

So share if you like, you know what they say, you are what you eat, so I figure this is good way to get to know you all better...:D

Well,I don't mean a particular diet but I eat vegetables.And I eat once or twice a day.That keeps me fit,I guess and I don't even need any more.So I feel fine.

Revolutionary Breakthrough In Dieting: The YUDANSHA-plan! :=))

LOL Here's my diet: chips with Seagal movies; ice-cream for those humid days here (or whenever there's ice-cream in the freezer); pizza on weekends; 3 and 3 halves (each 1/2 = snack/meal) meals daily = lots of beef and pork (not a bird fan, except those chicken wings), fish, rice, and some of those famous Canadian mashed potatoes from Yukon; Subway or Quizznos a few times a month; I'm not a big fan of McD or Burger King (only for McD breakfast whenever I'm on the run and go drive-thru on the way to school); salads rarely ... but you see, I lift about 5500lbs. every morning and visit my (terribly expensive) gym at night about 3 times a week to box/kickbox/weightlift/basketball/swimming --> so that's the 'Yudansha-plan.'

No diet at all..I used to have a weight problem until last fall. I lost 30 lbs when I was ill. Now I try to eat healthy but the chips & sodas etc. are my downfall..lol....hugs, kat :)

yum - vanilla slice sounds so good!
Am strickly vegeterian - no meat ever but I do eat eggs from range-free hens who are fed only grains, etc (no animal by-product feed or hormones, etc), cheese (not made w/ animal rennet or enzymes - most cheeses are made w/ pig rennet), yogurt, whole-grains/seeds/legumes/soy/nuts, plus spirulina, wheatgrass and barley green powders, and generally organically grown produce and none GMO (genetically-modified foods) plus an assortment of food and herbal supplements from non-animal sources. One of my favorite snacks is partially frozen fruit mixed with lemon ice. I also like dark chocolate and have been known to eat Crispy Creme donuts on occasion :) Thanksgiving and Christmas consist of vegeterian fare as one of my sons is a vegan (who runs marathons and is very active). His brother will eat most anything but likes the vegeterian stuff too. I do not follow any 'diets' and worry a bit about some of the women at work who are basically starving themselves on liquid or all-protein stuff to lose weight ... scary it is. Along with the food, however, comes lots of work-outs, martial arts practice (which uses an incredible amount of energy), and plenty of sleep.

and roll into coconut.Put in fridge for about 45 minutes until chocolate and coconut have set...thats my recipe and boy it is so Mmmmm...Its excellent to have with a coffee...It will make your toes curl...Heather.

Mostly vegetarian, but!

Have to watch the calories. I burn a lot of calories and lose weight overseas hiking, climbing, dodging unfriendlies. But at home It's hard to leave the wonderful fresh berry freezer jam I've put away. As soon as I'm home I'm into tea and crackers or toast with the jam and the lbs come back all too quick. Jam is about my only indulgence except cheese. I do make a great cheese pizza. But for carnivores I make pizza with real spicey turkey kielbasa because there's a lot less fat that way. Some people don't know it's not peperoni and I'm not about to tell them. Can't help playing nurse i guess.

All sounds good, I thought of going back on the meat, but at this point not...At least I am not gaining weight, and hopefully the pounds will keep coming off...Ah, plenty of sleep, eh? Me too, I feel so lazy...wow, the desserts sound too good, gotta watch those though (I do, I mean...)

Smile dammit!
Hmmm diet?See food!
Actually i try to be careful.Low fat spread, sweeteners for coffee and tea, artificial sugar for cereals.I even water my milk sometimes if it's muesli or weetabix which soak loads up.
Plenty of fruit too.Until....
all this gets very boring and i have a biccy or choc bar or a Chinese.Still, like Kat i lost a lot when poorly, nearly 50lb in fact and have no intention of putting it back on.Sure beats them fad diets that don't work.Nice to see you about Kickingbird. You are careful aren't you? You like your food pure i see.
Ps.Vanilla slices too!

I never had a weight issue until children. I went to LA Weight Loss to lose 60lbs. I have kept it off for two and a half years. It will be a life time diet. I like Carbs too much. This diet is best for my heart. It helps you eat a balanced diet. You can eat your favorite foods but in moderation. Sometimes I am tempted to O.D. on bad foods.
