School is on my mind its going to be fun me climbing up some stairs at school but school is going to have to wait for an couple more weeks i think..My teachers are pretty cool people ..plus i aint silly i have an sick certificate..but iam getting itchy feet and miss the girls.....

Kindred Spirits

What is on my mind? "Kindred spirit" friends.

My friend Shelly called me last Monday. She is a dear friend I have had for the last five years. Out of the blue she called me Monday to tell me how much I meant to her. Shelly loves me unconditionally and I her. We don't always agree on issues. Sometimes we lovingly tell the other right out how we feel on issues. In the end the love and friendship is still there "unconditionally."

When Shelly called me to tell me she loved me and how thankful she was for a friend like me and that I didn't give the friendship to her "superficially" as she put it, I started crying like a big baby. She had no idea how much I have needed to hear that. I guess God knew that....so he burdened her heart to tell me.

It's funny how sometimes you feel like you are the only one going through a certain trial in life. Soon you find out others can be going through the same type of problem as I did my friend Shelly.

That is when we still love the friend but let them go as they wish...as my friend Shelly and I had to do...then hold those friends who are our "kindred spirits" closer. Thank God for kindred spirits.

We (Shelly and I) don't really know where we stand with the "other" friend we each have...we just love them just the same...let them go...and if they so choose to be a friend again...they know where to find it. It will always be there when they need it.

Friendship is something important and it's good to have people who love you without conditions. Love is also letting the other think what they want, being open-minded. We don't need to agree on everything to be the best friends in the world. All matter is love and respect.

I agree. It is hard to lose a loved one...harder the way she suddenly lost hers. Her brother apparently had been drinking, then did what he always did....walked everywhere with his walkman radio on. He never heard the train while walking too close to the tracks.
