Hi Everyone,

I'm very happy to be among other fans of Steven Seagal. I enjoy his movies and am especially looking forward to Kill Switch. I am a writer and I manage the Chris Thomas King fan site . Chris plays "Storm" in the film.

I'm glad to see Steven making a strong comeback and his upcoming films look like real winners.

A new face is always welcome here.

Nice fan site you have there... like the blue on blue theme though it is a bit hard to read for my eyes.

Hi Southbound

Hi Southbound & welcome! Ever been to Gulfport, MS -Ship Island/Gulf Port, MS-Marine Life Oceanairum/Ocean Springs,MS -L.J. Scott Marine Biology Center/ or Granada, MS - Granada Lake Hiking Trails? Those used to be some of my MOST FAVORIT places to visit, before I got married & moved here to a place in S. Louisiana , when I was attending college in New Orleans Louisiana & then in Slidell, LA working in Homehealth Care as a PCA-Now, 2 of those places are gone and I am not able to visit those places much anymore. I remember when I went to Gulfport alot, I met a man (forgot his name) who has worked some with my cousin James Burton and met a nice elder man from Talulua Lake CA who is the father-n-law of Ken Cardiea(writer/produce of Days of Our Lives soap opera) who's daughter knew my cousin James Burton and hug out with the band when Elvis Presley was alive. Of course James & Louise and their 2 children lived in Calafornia at that time, as well, when she knew James and the others in Elvis's band. James & his wife live back in Shreveport now, but who doesn't know that, and his daughter lives down this way in S. Louisiana..... What is your favorit place to visit, in MS? Ever drove through the Natchez Trace, to visit Tupolo MS, where Elvis was born? I have; the Natchez Trace is Beautiful - so breath taking.... What Beauty GOD ADONAI has made. Well, again, welcome and hope you enjoy this site. I do because it is very informative and everyone is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NICE & Kind! To me, it's like extende Family, here! GOD BLESS! Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey

Hi Country Eagle,

I live in the northeast corner of the state, about 45 miles from Tupelo, and I've been to Elvis's birthplace many times. Driven the Natchez Trace, too, and it is beautiful.

One of my favorite places to go is Oxford because I'm a writer and it has such a literary culture (William Faulkner, John Grisham, etc.).

I am involved in the blues music genre, too, and I'm planning a tour of the Delta soon to visit some of the places where blues greats like Robert Johnson, Son House and others lived and died. I've gotten acquainted with the House Rockers band from the documentary film Last of the Mississippi Jukes, and they've invited me to come down to Jackson, and I'm really looking forward to that as well.

I've never been to the coast, but I do have a lot of friends in the New Orleans/Baton Rouge, Louisiana area. I'm a member of the Baton Rouge Blues Society. How do you like living down there?

It's nice getting acquainted with you.

Hi Southbound!

Oh Wow! What a small world. I live Between NOLA & BRLA... and use to volunteer at a BRLA Deaf Church years ago for 3 1/2 Years. My Uncle who is now a Judge for Webster & Bossier Parish, went to Law school in BRLA, Worked for drug court-Judge Foxey Sanders while in Law school-as his Law Clerk. We also have close friends in BRLA, including First Circut Court of Appeals Judge, Judge Downing. Do you know him? Also, by the way, I am a writer too! I write poems, songs, children's books and am revising a screenplay I wrote when I was in college, adding more detail for building the characters of the short-story/screen-play. Have you ever visited LA School for the Deaf? Besides being related to James Burton on my mom's side of the family, I am also related to THE COX FAMILY who sings blue grass with/without-writes music with-for/or has in the past with/for:Alison Krauss, Charlie Daniels, Alan Jackson, Randy Travis, etc....and was in the movie with George Clooney-"O Brother Where Art Thou?" Willard is my Uncle.... Do you know my family? Wow! Small world!!! One of my cousins from up by our family home town, is married to R.K.D. who worked in the Pentagon for 8 years, over the ....... for President Regan. Oh, before I forget, are you going to My Cousin, James Burton's Internationl Guitar Festival, this year? It will be August 22nd - 24th. I may not get to go this year, depends on how the rest of my sons SLE lupus test, turn out..... I need to go but before I forget, do you know Jim Pierce in H. Tennessee? He has a recording studion there... where James has recorded some music years ago and is still friends with him.... if you need help getting a recording session, I will give you his address later, not on this open section ... I will send it to you in the private message section, later... tomorrow... I have to go now... GOD BLESS! [COLOR]LOR]

hey southbound, welcome!
I like your Chris Thomas King site, especially the music. I am a big blues fan, but have never had the opportunity to travel through the places where it took shape. After I finished high school (many, many years ago...) I worked for a blues promoter and had the opportunity to meet such wonderful musicians as Albert Collins, Gatemouth Brown and others.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy this web site. It is always good to have another gal on board!

Hi tigerfeet,

Thanks for visiting Chris's site and for your kind words. I grew up hearing and loving the blues, so being involved in the music just comes naturally for me. The state has finally realized how important an art form it is and has gotten involved by establishing a Heritage Blues Trail and putting up markers where the great musicians lived and other significient events took place.

Country Eagle,

We do seem to have much in common! :) I love the music from O Brother, Where Art thou? and the Cox Family are fantastic. I would love to go to your cousin James Burton's Guitar Festival, but will probably be unable to as I am running behind scheduled on some of my writing that is due this year.

I write poetry, fiction and articles for magazines and websites and one of my new projects is a blues-related novella that will be published this summer.

Best of luck with your writing! I've never tried a screenplay, but I'm thinking of expanding the novella I mentioned and writing it as a screenplay also.

I don't know Jim Pierce, but thanks for the tip. I've worked in radio and as a vocalist with several bands, and did a little recording years ago, but now I mostly help promote other artists -- not as a business, I just love being involved with the music and like helping out.

Better go get some writing done. :)

Best regards,
southbound

That is neat! That is what I mostly write is Poetry and some Songs, A few Children's books, a Shortstory/screen-play, and have a personal recipee book I haven't put together in transcript format yet...It's on hold. My Screen Play and Poetry Book are Priority, but even before those side projects, my children are very First Priority!... A lot going on right now.... Really, the word A Lot is an understatement!!! I have also drawn a lot of fashinon designs, too, but can't seem to find them.... They went missing over 2 years ago... any way, nice to meet a hometown-girl, so to speak! I hope you do well and pray nothing distracts you or causes you to have temp. writers block...LOL! But seriously, I do pray you do well in all your endevors... From one writer to another, I can tell you are a sister with soul who has a Deep rooted compassion for others and one who wants to make a difference in this world in some way, as I.... One who has a deep soul can sense it in another, without them saying much of anything that indicates it in an apparent/obviouse way to the natural eye....I am most positive you know exactly what I mean. Keep up the good work and GOD Bless. Love Your Sister, Eagle/Stacey
