Seagal done making movies??

I think it's safe to say he's ending his acting career now. It's a shame but we have plenty of movies to watch time and time again... some good and some bad. I think I have 31 of his films on DVD last time I checked haha! I live in the hope he will make one more film and really put in 100% effort to give us something a little bit different but there's not really much chance of that happening sadly.

He will make more movies! They will be definitely be bad but they will happen. Eventually when the world goes back to normal someone will fund another one of his projects. Seagal can put in little effort for a pay cheque and that is all he is chasing now. Maybe it will be a Russian production. Mark my words! There will be more Steven Seagal films!

Producer Binh Dang a few days ago (at 28.30 min):

"...he is not doing that many movies anymore...he's looking for different roles..."
"We haven't found anything yet that fits him...but Keoni will probably come up with something cool."
"...I'm hoping we'll be working with Steven again soon...probably the next year..."

So Binh Dang is hinting about a new movie next year with Seagal (maybe) with upcoming director Asif Akbar.

He is right about the roles that Seagal can play now. He is 'that mentor' guy now.
The old sensei who mentors and teaches his young pupil the proper ways to break bones! I think that could work if it was done well

I think Seagal slowed down because of Covid-19. We see the virus coming back again. Seagal probably just wants to stay safe and spend time with his family. He might do another movie or two. Cameo in the Under Siege remake would be cool. Above the Law 2 is listed on IMDb, but it's been a while with no updates. Maybe a documentary film on Steven Seagal's life story would be good. One more action movie Seagal, let's go!!!

A cameo in Under Siege would be cool but it won't happen mainly cos Seagal just won't agree to it. He could pop up, kick a bit of arse (no stunt me please!) and then disappear. I'd like him to film something new soon but it's looking less and less likely we'll get anything now.

At 19:18, producer Jonathan Sothcott mentions he worked on a script with Seagal during lockdown:

With Seagal now standing side by side with Putin and him doing propaganda work for him, I think no one wants to work with him anymore. I really think Beyond The Law was Seagal's last movie.....

I also think his career is over.

It's very sad... I was hoping to see one good last Seagal movie (Above the law 2) before his career ends but I think it's hopeless. Unfortunately all his last movies were trash and the last decent one was A Dangerous Man IMO...

He did, sorta, with Half Past Dead, but them toning it down to a PG-13 rating and him losing the shape he got in for Exit Wounds did him in.
