See all my reviews Despite all the criticism of Seagal's recent films, I think he has found and acceptable and entertaining standard to maintain his iconic status and his unique genre of film. Like him or not, Seagal is one of a kind, and he doesn't have the pretense of being anything other than he is; a great martial artist, a decent actor, a good storyteller, and a survivor. Age has refined rather than diminished him. I always look forward to his work, and rather than looking for every flaw in his films, I only ask myself if I enjoyed it, and Out of Reach is highly enjoyable, with an interesting ambience, good chemistry between the actors, and of course, the element that is the foundation of a seagal film, action sequences done as only seagal could, impressive as always.
