Thanks for the cute photos Isa! My favorite is the James Bond mouse!
Duh!!! I had not noticed that baby's ears! Guess I was too focussed on its eyes... or I need new glasses <G>.Serena said:The baby macaque in my post above, pic #5. Big ears, but still a cutie.
Good ol' soft-hearted Amos.Amos Stevens said:Poor little bird that spends fighting for the first years of his life to have WHAT happened to him :O
Think Veggies & save the Turkeys (I'm always for the underdog)
What an interesting story, Pantera! I've heard some amazing things about dolphins, but this is really incredible! Thanks for sharing that.pantera said:here's a story i've just read in going to my office.
In wellington (new zeland), a band of dolphins saved the life of a group of swimmers threaten by a big white shark of 3 meters. the dolphins made a circle around the swimmers to protect them with their bodies.
When two swimmers tried to escape the circle of dolphins, 2 big dolphins came to re-push them inside the circle. And it's at this moment that the swimmers understood why the dolphins were acting like that. At this moment they saw the big shark which were coming in thier direction.
What an incredible story and what wonderful animals! Dolphin is a creature full of mercy, generosity and honnesty. Despite what men already did to them, they keep on protecting man. I love this animal. We have a lot to learn from him. It's not the first time that we can read such story (of a dolphin or a wales saving a man's life from a shark attack).
If we could all be as ggod as them!

Herebelow is a pic taken recently in California. This baby's Mom was killed by a car, he/she is being bottle-fed by the big boy's humans but *he* takes care of the TLC... ))
When the fawn is big enough, he/she will go to a Family that has already raised and released several of his/her fellow-creatures, where he/she will also learn that stranger dogs are not to be trusted... Hope he/she will also be taught that NO car is to be trusted :-(
The dog who's nursing that baby and sharing his bed with him/her is a Rhodesian Ridgeback boy, also known as "African Lion dog" - actually Ridgebacks are sight hounds; the name "Ridgeback" refers to the ridge of hair, on their back, that forms a crest of reversed hair along the spine. They were originally bred for hunting big game... keeping lions at bay... and visibly they can make the difference between a fawn and a lion ;-)))
When driving in the countryside, please think of all the babies whose survival depends on their Mom's life... Please slow down for them.......
