Thanks Suzi, he looks nice and happy BUT he should loose lot of weight, I nearly became a heart attack again when I see this new pics. Hard to believe that this is the action star from Hard to kill or Exit Wounds.:(
I know his not the youngest now, but in Exit Wounds he looked absolutely great with 51. Steven, why do you do that with you, why? :(

You know, people do go on and on about Steven's weight, but does he look like it's affecting him in any way? answer, no, not at all. I know many fans of Steven's personally, here in the UK, and you know what, none of us care a damn about him being heavier than he was years ago. He's still the great action star he always was. In fact we think he strikes a more imposing figure. He appears quite fit and healthy to us, and that's all we care about!!! Steven will always be watchable because he's a genuine Martial Artist. Oh, and incidentally, he does all the fights himself in Pistol Whipped his latest movie, no stuntmen. He's energetic and agile, one of his best performances to date. He is the best action star there ever was, his weight is no problem for us.

Yes it is getting tire-some how people go on about his weight and age at times my god iam sure if he knew in himself that he was putting on some 'pudding' to much he would do some thing..he is nearly 57 and in my oppinion he looks dam good prefer him now days to way back then he was too scrawny then ..so give him an break we cannot stop the 'aging process' ..and as long as he is happy we should be too..you go Steven ..

I first want to say that I respect people's right to like Seagal skinny or fat, but please don't say that it has anything to do with his age. It only has to do with the fact that being healthy is not a priority to him. I mean for God sake Kirstie Alley lost weight why the hell can't he? The reason that people bring it up is that his weight is the only reason he is not in the theaters any more, period. I for the life of me can't understand how people like Clint Eastwood and Chuck Norris can stay in good shape their whole career and it only tok Seagal less than 7 movies before he was noticeably out of shape and over weight(and please don't start with the"but he is a real Martial Artist" thing) the only reason he did most of his recent fight scenes is due to the fact that his fan base is shrinking and any self respecting Aikido Master would never have someone else do those things for him.

well guys..I love Steven so much but I do agree that if he lost some weight, it wud be better...He's such a tall guy..so can u imagine him with lil less weight! He wud look terrific!!!

As i said he knows what is best and what ever makes him happy WE should accept..
Being from an family of tall brothers over 6'2 both of them they have abit of meat on there bones and they are always taunted by people because of it and they just till those people we see you are concerned but its our lives and we know what we are doing and those people seem to be good with that they eat healthy and are very fit me i am an shirt ass but iam an happy little vegemite if any one has an go at me because i may have some meat on my bones i just say to them have you looked at your self lately and that shuts them up..so every one is different if we were all made the same how boring would that be ...so just love Steven and be there for him ..his birthday is coming up soon lets all leave up lifting messages no negative ones..

He instantly scores cool points from me by seemingly not giving a sh*t about being seen in public dressed like that. It's obvious the only trends he follows are those he creates for himself, and that's majorly cool.

Well, well what the hell is your problem? The other people you mention here aren't Steven's twins, right. This thing of always comparing Steven to others all the time is so idiotic. For your information, people have weight problems for all sorts of reasons. Steven had an injury during the making of Exit Wounds. Now in my experience as a nurse, I know he would have had to have heavy duty pain killers for a long time. The side effect of this is that quite often people gain weight quite rapidly. I have no doubt that that's what going on with Steven. He's not dumb, he knows all about the workings of the body, and therefore would hardly deliberately do anything that's not healthy. Oh and by the way, since Steven is indeed a true Aikido Master, your inane snide little remark referring to that is moronic to say the least. I don't give a stuff what his weight is. He looks damn fit to everyone who can see beyond their envy, jealousy or whatever the hell your problem is with this extraordinary man. By the way, where did you read someone saying Steven gained weight because of his age? The only time his age is ever mentioned, is to praise him for being so remarkably energetic and agile.
Steven you're the man kiddo, but I guess you know that. All your real fans absolutely adore you. Keep well baby, and continue to do your thing. We love you and appreciate you. You're the only one worth watching. You know your stuff and do it with such style. You will always be our number one action movie star!!!

First I want to say that I have been a Seagal fan ever since he has been making movies, and that I am also in the medical field and know that there are many reasons that people become over weight(mind you, the medical field is full of people who are overweight for no other reason than a poor diet). The only way I can explain my comment is like this, I am also a huge Evander Holyfield fan, and when I see them doing things that disapoint me and are not what I believe they are capable of doing I give my opinion. Seagal got fat way before he ever got knee problems, and you being a nurse should know that being over weight only makes knee problrems worse. And I am not jealous of Seagal being an Aikido master, I just personally believe that it has been years since he has done any training or teaching on a regular basis. I would love for him to make a massive comeback and be on top again much like Willis and Stallone have recently done, but from Mr. Seagal's personal effort I would guess that he does not give a damn if he ever makes a comeback and to me that is sad. If he has done as alot of people have said in the forum and went back to making movies in Europe you will soon see him disapear from the market. His last 3-4 films have not hardly craked the top 50 and even now Dolph's movies are beating him now which I never thought would happen. So if you enjoy seeing someone put very little effort into things, then continue to support his films while he still makes them. I just hope that for his own health that he loses some weight and if he does I believe his career will make an up turn.

Thought this thread was about Seagal attending a fashion festival and not about weight issues or telling people of for speaking their opinion.

The weight and opinion issues have been discussed over and over again on this forum. One thinks he is in excellent shape, another thinks he is badly out of shape and the next is just concerned for his health. We should not have to defend our feelings and opinions, these are the things (amongst others) that make everybody an unique person.

In my opinion Seagal looks overweight, but he is still agile, fast and seems to keep going. On the other hand there have been many a movie in which he looked tired and didn't do much "work" himself.

As long as Seagal is satisfied with his body we shouldn't be worried or make comments about it.

Peace

Children Children....Please.......it doesn't matter what you think about his weight. What about his MUSIC? Listen to the lyrics of the many songs he has written. He is speaking to you. It tells what is in his soul.
Peace be with you all......
