That would flush except for this part here
"I'm happy, that Seagal realized this self-important point of view of the US spectators, and says with his films: you are stupid, there is filmmaking outside the USA.

You personally expressed your happiness at Steven seeing us American's as being stupid and carried his business elsewhere!

I don't think you or TD can express how he feels!
And with TD being an administrator she should see how this was offensive to me!
If TD is not happy with him, and that disappointed she should move on!
Kcs' language was a bit strong and could be taken offensively if one was inclined to do so. However, he has apologised for his comment, without any prompting from any of the administrators. Please also remember that English is not his first language and what might be a mild comment in Hungarian, in translation might be a lot stronger after crossing the language bridge.

I certainly don't think Kcs was intending to offend you personally or any American here; most of us here have pretty much accepted that Steven does not like making films in the U.S. anymore. He simply expressed his opinion as to one reason that might be.

As for anyone else expressing opinions - there will always be more than one opinion expressed here. No one opinion is more right than any other's. Opinions can be expressed freely, good or bad. I have the right to say I am not happy with the quality of Steven's films and why I think he's not producing good films, just as much as anyone else has the right to say they are perfectly happy with him making any films at all. It is just my opinion and, as such, it is for what it is worth.

However, if someone insists he or she must leave because they don't agree with the opinions being expressed - well, that's a different story, and I don't think any one member here has the right to tell another member to leave if the other's opinion doesn't agree with theirs. If the opinion being expressed is a vicious attack on Steven (as happens from time to time when we get a troll), then swift action is taken. But no one should be told to leave for expressing an opinion that is different from one's own.

I don't agree with Kcs - but I'm not telling him he should leave because of it.

If we all agreed with everyone else, there wouldn't be any discussion, now would there....

It is not fair to expect an answer from him. I think he gets such an amount of letters, that this makes it impossible.
Most celebrities have staff or fan organisations that handle fan mail. They may not respond to it all, but they at least read them and maybe out of the thousands they get, respond to one or two.

Steven's people just pitch the lot, unopened.

how do u know that steven's people chuck out the whole lot? how do we know that he hate fans
I didn't say (or at least I think I didn't say) he hates his fans - he just doesn't like them.

I do know he never sees any fan mail because his people do chuck out the whole lot (and sorry, can't reveal my source, but it's a reliable one, I assure you).

I think it's instructive to note the difference between Steven's attitude towards the great unwashed and the attitude of other "stars". If you go onto eonline.com and find the section on "celebrity sightings", you get people posting about their encounters with celebrities. After a while, you see a pattern emerge - which celebrities behave with grace, which ones don't.

There were only two sightings of Steven within the past five years, one last year, the other 'way back. Neither of those reporting went anywhere near him, for different reasons.

A lot of celebrities usually behave with good grace even when a fan is out of line. Some, of course, don't. Some still behave with bad grace even when a fan is polite. Some don't want to be approached. Others don't mind.

Steven travels with more security guards than the Queen of England - his entourage of guards, assistants and other hangers-on can number upwards of a dozen. Their sole purpose is to make sure no one gets near him. One of my contacts was actually forbidden from communicating with this site "for security reasons", so we lost a good insider source. As a result, Steven's been cut off from his fans, either by his own choice, or by the jealous protection of those in his inner circle. That's a situation that isn't likely to change any time in the near future.

Does Steven like his fans? He's set himself up to be unapproachable, so it's a good bet he doesn't.

tdwoj you would know at least as good as me if not more of the aikido/buddist ways... and how its peacefull orientated from the video clips i have seen him...at his dojo...his interviews...and maybe it is all...set up...like...i'd like to thank the fans...or "i hope my fans enjoy this movie" in dvd special features. or at his dojo...he treats everyone with respect...i'd imagine..that maybe he doesnt like to mingle with his fans...as he doenst have enough time or they r all the same and he is sick of them...i doubt he would say no to an autograph if approached (thats if someone actually got near him)
i beleive...having his beleifes... he would treat everyone with respect...i have seen no proof to have proven me other wise.

Yeah, sure. He handles all people with respect. Im sure about that. I will be a fan forever, but that not means that we can have some critics about him, he's not a god. And i must say, that im sure its possible to contact the fans with a letter. I mean this is 5 Minutes of work!!! 5 Minutes and he would make us happy. If he hasn't got time, thats ok. I mean we can't change that... But it would be nice if he contact us, because he lives from his fans!

In some ways i like it that Steven Seagal is no not physically fit like some years ago. He shows us that even an Action-Hero is getting older.

I don't worship this man but I don't see a negative side,I mean, life is too short to pay attention to such details and there's always something positive to look for.Is someone thinks that I'm excusing him for what he's doing or what he's not, well, let them think that way...that won't affect much the fact of the reality and what the truth really is...but I think that Steven shows enough care and love for people and us fans by his non-stop work...Maybe he's not the one to seek his fans attention all over the time and to spend some time on the net to see what's going on in here...I wouldn't have time for that if I were him...And for those who don't believe,it's their business but Steven does a lot for the world to make a difference and it's something more important rather than some action on the screen...And I don't feel that I'm offended by him in some way,and I don't feel the lack of attention from him for I'm not his girlfriend or his child or a close friend...I'm a fan and I appreciate his tryings...And it's nasty to say something like it's his fans that provide him with glory or who buy his movies or elsewhat...just like he's doing us a favor,eh?Funny, you can never please people...He's thankful but he doesn't come up to say that "Hey,you know,I've been working here, why aren't you happy with what I'm doing?" He'll just keep working, keep going,no matter what.
Take it how you like it,wrap it in tobacco leaf and smoke it...I don't care if someone doesn't agree with me.

I agreet with that, and like i said, it has something special if you see an action-heor getting older... Mostly you don't see actors again in their "classical roles" when their getting older, and so it is very nice for us to have Steven Seagal for the next 50 years ;)
