SUBMERGED.New seagal movie.

Here is the article + the link to the page where I found this news! http://www.comingsoon.net/news.php?id=3012

Steven Seagal is Submerged Source: Emmett/Furla Films Wednesday, January 14, 2004

Emmett/Furla Films Productions Corporation has announced that it has completed negotiations with international action star Steven Seagal to top-line an additional picture which is slated to begin principal photography on April 1st.

Anthony Hickox will direct Submerged, which Emmett/Furla Films' Randall Emmett and George Furla will produce with Paul de Souza. Colin Green wrote the screenplay based on a story by himself and Paul de Souza.

Co-chairs Randall Emmett and George Furla stated: "We are happy to, once again, be working with Steven Seagal. He has always delivered solid, exciting performances for us and we believe coupling him with 'Submerged' will make for an action-packed film that will hopefully appeal to a broad audience. This project is the perfect fit for Family Room Entertainment."

Following Submerged, Emmett/Furla Films will produce a second picture with Steven Seagal entitled, Repentance.

April 1, thats my Birthday. I'm turning 26 :) :) But the best news is that www.comingsoon.net only puts up news about Theatrical released movies..never straight to dvd/video movies.

Hi Don,please don't get your hopes up about this new film getting a big screen release.I sm guessing a lot will depend on the success of Out Of Reach(providing it does get a theatrical release).

Peace,

Leon

Justice, why don't you simply stop paying attention to that?If you don't like it just don't read it.Why do you think you can make them shut up?And why do you think that a male point of view is supposed to be a priveledged one?Is that jealousy that they pay less attention to you or what?:D

Hooray finally some one has seen the light!!..Thanks Tora you took the words right out of my mouth..And i have got news for him and its all bad no one is going to tell me when and how i should talk about Steven.Like i said before if this forum had a female star,he would be falling over his tongue. At least Lotussan and others myself included keep it clean if iam sure that Steven himself would more then likely be flattered.Heather.

Nobody's touching Justice personally, none of the posts have been addressed directly to him.Maybe that's what is annoying him? That he's feeling left out of touch, huh?

Tora, silly little girl,I will keep on paying attention to it 'till you female fans(only a certain few,to be fair)have the decency to meet us half way.Talk about selfish!!

Listen:You are driving all the male members away(not that there's many of us left!!!).Perhaps this is your plan? You want this place just females only? You may get your wish sooner than you think. If I see another "I love you" etc, etc.I am gonna...well...go crazy!!!

Why would I be jealous,Tora? You should see the amount of private messages I get!:D

Peace,

Leon(I am not a bad guy!)

One thing we should all remember is that Craig created this site for ALL fans of Steven Seagal, not just the lovesick female ones. I think the point the guys are trying to make is that the heavy volume of "I love Steven" posts are drowning out the other voices who might also want to express their views in words other than "I love you and have romantic feelings, etc.".

Yes, it's very easy to say, "just skip those posts". But if you only have dial-up and limited access time to the internet, skipping those posts to get to the ones you want to answer may end up taking all of your allotted time, and so prevent you from participating as fully as you would like. The sheer volume of such posts has become overwhelming of late, and to see multiple posts, some almost word for word identical to each other in different threads, can be frustrating for those who want to focus on other subjects.

There is also this to remember. Lately, we've had a lot of new members get the heave-ho from this site for being disrespectful to Steven and to our longer term members. Perhaps those who insist on their rights to write reams of romantic sexual fantasy wherever they want, regardless of whether it is appropriate in that topic or not, might want to consider that by doing so, they are disrespecting the rights and feelings of the other members here. And by showing their disrespect and disregard for the feelings and rights of other members, they are also disrespecting Steven (protestations of undying love contained in said posts nothwithstanding).

The point is this: if members cannot even show each other respect on the most basic level, if they do not see that by saying "I'll post what I want when I want and the rest of you can (insert term of choice here)", how does one reconcile that behaviour and their insistence that they are here to love and respect Steven? Does this mean only Steven is deserving of respect and consideration, but no one else here is? How does that honour Steven? In my opinion, it does not.

We have lost a few of our long-term members here recently, due almost entirely to the proliferation of "I love Steven" posts. It is not the content so much as the attitude behind those posts, that have given the people who have left the feeling that they no longer even had the right to direct or present their own topics.

No one is asking those who post their romantic feelings to cease and desist entirely. All that is being asked is that some discretion be applied to when and where such posts are made, that consideration of others' feelings and rights be given to ALL members, and that this board be a haven for ALL of Steven's fans to participate in equally and joyfully.

Hi T.D.,

what a thoughtful, diplomatic & honest post. It's great that the likes of you & Serena can see it from both sides. All we ask,as T.D. mentions,is that you use some discretion(some posts will call for the "I love you" etc.comments more than others),thought control & common sense.

Peace,

Leon

Remember:I still love you all!!

Let's try and put this topic behind us so we can get back to "normality".We don't want to get this site a bad name like the old "official" one.As long as we respect each other, there's no reason why we can't make this site very special again.

Peace,
Leon

Whatever happened to stillness in chaos?

I am "natural" ...other people are "normal".

Contemplate on that... :yin:

Well stated TD,
I for one dont have a problem with any and even all of the ladies here praising Seagal and fantasising about how much they love him and would love to be held by him and how great he is and wishing that he would love them somehow etc..I just dont see why this has to be stated constantly in sections and under topics that have nothing to do with that..Why dont we have a fantasy section where these kind of posts can be done all day long. If I sign into a topic about "Into the Sun" or some other movie I dont want to see pages of "I love Seagal" and "How sexy he looks" and other bedroom fantasies dominating the thread..
That is the one beef I have with the moderators here. If posts are totally unrelated to the topic they should be moved and most are except for these "love posts"..
If we are gonna continue this we need to allow posters to express their hate for Seagal too and how fat he is or whatever.. Otherwise we will have just disagreements here and more unrelated posts to the original topic..
Lets just keep the constant fantasies where they belong and stay on topic for the most part..Otherwise this site will be just as bad as the official site and will just be posts of sexual fantasies of Seagal and all other members who just want information on Seagal and his projects will be totally turned off..

To keep it short, maybe a special column just for these.

Being a female poster on this site, and, relatively new and, I hasten to add a great and solid admirer of Steven, I find I have to agree with the boys. I admire Steven, find him pleasing to look at, love his eyes, but most of all his voice, the emphasis on some words, odd, but attractive. Having said that, not everything Steven does is good - Out for a Kill was unbelievably bad, and I want the right to say so, and to discuss it with others, without being made to feel a traitor, or being shouted down with 'I love Steven'. I am sure that Steven would far rather read constructive criticisms from people he knows care enough to join this kind of forum, rather than repeated I love you posts, one can almost here him huff and scroll rapidly on, in the hope of something to indulge his intelligence. I also feel very much an outsider, there is a small but tight I love Steven group, and, if you don't join it, you just get left out and your posts seldom responded to. For those who think I am talking rubbish, I give you an example, each year I do a marathon show for the BBC called Children In need. It's seven hours of mainly live television to raise millions of pounds for childrens charieties. It's not great television, but there are some good parts. It's very hard work to do, and for weeks afterwards I get flack from the press, and endless letters telling me what a rubbish show it is. some of the letters are just plain spiteful, but many, from those sitting in their armchairs, are useful helpful and something both I and the team learn a great deal from. In the business of entertainment, you are only as good as when people watch. In Steven's case, it is not the totally dedicated fans and those that claim undying love that can keep him in movies, but the general film goer or film purchaser, who will look at the titles and say, arrh, yes, a Seagal movie -he makes good movies that will be worth watching. The way things have been going of late, that will cease to happen, and I do hope BOTB is the begining of an improvement in the quality of his film making. I too would support a dedicated I love Steven, string, so that those who wish can hourly or daily declare there love. It would be nice for others to then discuss topics in a fair and constructive way without constantly losing the point. I would hope there is room for all on this board, the fantasists, those in love, and those who just admire and support him.

This is all us guys have ever asked for-a seperate "I love Seagal fantasy" thread.

Tiggy & Hallarian-thanks for putting your views forward.

Peace,
Leon

Well,I've no doubt about the private messages you get.And I wouldn't wanna any of our males leave this place coz, honestly, you add some spice to the atmosphere.Sure it's not in my plan to drive you all away from here. But the point is you get annoyed by those "I love you" posts and when you try to make the poster shut up but it can't do without hurting anyone coz some people are too sensitive and you can't even blame them for that. Why not just be patient towards each other and give each other a chance to understand each other and make a difference?I mean it for both sides but when one side shows impatience it only causes impatience from the other side.I'm not talking for my ego, nothing to do with my personal feelings. When was it the last time you saw "I love you" post from me?You'll never see a single post like that from "silly little girl".I come here because of you, folks, not because of Seagal.
