Ticker is #75...

LOL I would've thought that "Gigli" would be @ #1 :D

TF beat out Derailed (which I actually like more...) and Mortal Kombat and Hercules in New York...

LOL they also have some movie there titled "Troll2" :D

Thanks, Res.Dog.

"On Deadly Ground" was #99 for awhile, but it moved off, mainly because other movies moved on (probably "The Foreigner") :D

Wonder why it was the top-selling DVD for the first half of 2003? Who actually makes up the list at IMDB, anyway? The same people who get to post anything? :D

"the foreigner was better than oút for a kill"

We all have our opinions... (I thought OFAK was better than TF AND BOTB :D)

"Wonder why it was the top-selling DVD for the first half of 2003?"

Serena, it was the first pure Seagal dtv DVD (I don't count Ticker) and was hyped up alot due to the big success of EW and relatively good outcome of HPD...

Hype I can see in the first few weeks. But after six months? Nah. People liked it. Word of mouth gets around either for the good or for the bad. Obviously, this was for the good. :D

"Word of mouth gets around"

LOL and then some friends who suggested to buy that might get a fist to the mouth flying around :D ("oh that's just CRUEL!" you might say ... I say, that's just "FUNNY!" :D)

What's with all this slamming of Belly of the Beast. BOTB is in my top 3 Seagal films of all time. No way you can but that movie in the same catogory as Ticker (which I also like). The only Seagal film which was not so great was Exective Decison.

Yes BOTB is the my favorite DTV too. It has the highest rating of all of his DTV's. all the classic Seagal elements ( Ex- Cia agent, revenge, strip clubs, transvestite villians :D), are there, and although the stunt doubles were there, most of his DTV's have them anyway, and this one was the best directed. (OOR storyline is my favorite though)

The Foreigner was more of a suspense film rather than an action film. It suffered from bad direction, poor production values (I'm sensing the start of a trend here), and a crop of no-name actors in supporting roles. There was a kernel of a good story in there, but it just didn't come together, given the deficiencies in all the other areas.

Out for a Kill was utterly, utterly putrid. I actually saw what Oblowitz was trying to do with it, and maybe if the script hadn't been so vile, or if Steven could have done better than to sleepwalk through most of it (fight scenes aside, which, for the most part - except for the monkey fu guy - are the only scenes worth watching), it might have come off as a nifty little action/art film/film noir. However, in trying to be all of those things, it suffered for being none of those things adequately, because Oblowitz couldn't pull it off. Of course, I doubt anyone could have saved that movie simply because the script itself - the dialogue, that is - was so utterly, utterly wretched.

-TD, horrified down to her marrow bones at how bad the writing was in that film

LOL when you see stunt doubles fighting for Seagal and Seagal doing a 360 spin hook kick you know thats not hime. I thought that film was terrible and is in my top 3 worst Seagal movies list.

How can that film be better than ABOVE THE LAW, HARD TO KILL, OUT FOR JUSTICE? Those were classic Seagal films with Seagal himself doing the fighting.

You guys are confusing the heck of me. :D

I just meant that OOR was not succesful, and was more of a movie than a typical Seagal action movie like BOTB, which is why many people didnt like it. (Poor rental sales and reviews from critics and fans alike)
