Where did you hear these stories Littledragon?

They are floating all over IMDB, but I always thought they were made by trolls. Never expected to see them here, or that there was any merit to them. I think Seagal was "tough", but I think he got a little too big of a head. We all know he had the skills to fight well, and is an accomplished martial artist.

However, I must say, these stories sadden me. Seagal seems to get a negative response from the cast on almost all of those movies. Granted, one story here and there is no big deal, but it is quite odd that there is that much bad press floating around about him.

Well, I just have to give my two cents about this!!! First off, I am afraid of the mob, I know what they ar capable of. I could be the grandmaster of anything I wanted, and a bullet could still kill me, or do some serious damage!!!!

As far as the Le Bell story, well, I also heard he had Le Bell grab him and choke him out, not like they were challenging each other, I think they have enough respect for eachother regarding that. Not like the dirty dozen that Bob Wall so dishonorably tried to get together to challenge Seagal (who respectfully declined)!!!

I hope this is not directed at me ORAN, because if it is, then you must have never heard of the mafia and the horrible things they have done to people!!!!!

LOL ye I have that article in the 1989 Black Belt issue, Bob Wall is not even in the same zip code as Seagal is. Wall is terrible!

But that is just a rumor, nothing else.
I don´t believe that it is true.
Let me tell me folks, it would be very hard for every martial artist to beat up Steven Seagal because his martial arts Aikido is a defensive sport.
Seagal knows exactly how to react when someone tries to attack him.
When you see him his martial arts skills are unbelievable on screen. I think that only a great martial arts master can fight so. And don´t forget Seagal does the choreography in all of his early movies.
I don´t think that Jet Li or Jackie Chan would have a chance in a real life match because firstly Seagal is much taller than them and secondly Seagal knows to defend on an attack because of his Aikido.
Unfortunately, the Hollywood success changed Seagal.
Suddenly, he wants to direct, wants to talk about the environment, changed his clothes style, buddism, gained 50 pounds, sexually harassed women and so on....
It is very simple to reach the top but it´s far more difficult to remain there.

I think you are greatly underestimating both Jackie Chan AND Jet Li...

Also, size has nothing to do with this ... not when it comes to such highly ranked masters.

I totally agree with you. You think his accomplishments themselves would shut them up. I guess wind bags love giving off hot air. Maybe they think eveyone is incredibly stupid, and can not see what people have accomplished in life.

We all know Steven Seagal is a Martial Art 7th Degree Master Blackbelt in Aikido, and we all heard the stories of Seagal beating the other Japanese challengers because he was a foreignor. We have all seen his movies where he is proclaimed as this tough guy, I can beat you up don't mess with me kind of persona. We all know he can fight and we all know he has this amazing attitude that everyone likes to say, that's my man.

But we also have heard all the stories of how Seagal was frightened in his pants when he was threatened by the Italian Mafia and we have all heard how one of the world's best grapplers "Judo" Gene LeBell choked him out on the set of Under Siege when Seagal was kind of walking around challenging different people. We all know Seagal is tough but how tough is he really?
Has his tough guy image been pulled down by the recent incidents that has happened?

What are your thoughts?

Just a crazy idea I came up with.

I'd simply say that we can always find someone stronger. It's a simple rule of nature and it's the same for Steven Seagal. He's someone very strong indeed but still, it's possible to find someone stronger. It's part of life.

Gene Le Bell wasn´t in the movie "Under Siege".

I´m sure that the incident between LeBell and Seagal was during the filming of "Marked for Death"!
