I've noticed that in his last few movies that some other guy is speaking when Steven's mouth is moving or when the camera is not on him. Not all the time, but some of the time. Why is that? Man is it annoying!

"Being a very close, and personal friend of Steven's, I must say (...) yes, it is true that his voice is dubbed at points in the movie. The reason, as mentioned in the other posts is due to the cost as well as Steven's VERY busy schedule working on several film projects as well as his music career.

I don't know whether this is true, or not, anyway, no reason to think, that it is not.

DiDa said:Well, if he is busy, i would suggest that he makes 2 movies in a year instead of 4! He just has to take his time to work on the post-production. I would rather see 2 movies where you can here Steven's own voice then 4 movies where we hear the voice dubbing. He just has to take his time on filmmaking. Nobody of his fans is saying that he has to make 4 movies in a year. Take more time for a movie and maybe the quality will be better!!
don wilkey said:it might be that steven seagal practices ki-ai shouts or spiritual chants of holy sounds on a daily basis?
that certainly explains it for me as to why he overdubs his voice in movies nowadays
His voice is overworked from chanting and shouting after his exercises
thanks TDwoj, i just learned something new about film making todayTDWoj said:No - he's simply not under contract to do any post-production work, especially since post-production work would require him to go back to whatever country he filmed the movie in, and that he won't do. If they don't get the sound right while he's there, they have to dub in a voice-double. It's as simple as that.
