Hi Sue! I'm sorry about missing chatting with you today, when we were on here at the same time. After Church, I had to come home, change, eat then go to work. signed on long enough to check email and PM's while eating luch then had to sign off and go to work. I did see you but not have time to chat. Next time, though, hopefully.
That fireplace with a beautiful coblestone harth, would be nice right about now. It is cold and will get down into the 30's tonight. The wind is blowing too, with a bit of a bite to it.... I also have centeral air & heat. I try not to use it if I can avoid it... to help "save our plannet" by conserving energy and not wasting any unnecessary usage... Plus save on money too.... I have the heat on now, just long enough to heat up my house and will turn it off before bedtime...I will definately sleep with plenty of comforters....
Oh really? You have never mixed tea bags to try creating your own tea blends? I do stuff like that all the time... I even love making up my own recipees for many things.... I even mix/blend various types of foods and spices from other nationalities, to creat my own favored dishes....what I call cross-curtural-cooking....anything healthy, with medicinal properties to stay healthy and fight off sickness; But of course, most importantly, coupled with Much Prayer! I love to cook when I have time.
By the way, I am drinking a cup of hot green tea right now. The tea bag blends are Hadley's Pure Ceylon Organic Green Tea (imported for Sri Lanka India & Onterio Canada), Mixed with Yogi Tea that is Egyptian Licorice Mint (from the Himalayian Mountians); the second tea bag contains Organic Peppermint Leaves, Organic Licorice Root, Organic Cinnamon Bark, Organic Cardamom Seed, Organic Ginger Root, Stevia Leaves, Organic Clover Buds, Organic Black Pepper, and all Natural Cinnamon/Cardamom/Ginger oil. It taste alot like the Sassafras/Peppermint Tea my daddy would give me as a little girl, when I would get sick with the flu. All natural Native American way of sweating out the fever to get well faster.... Very Good tea!
One tea I have made one time, that turned out very good was Apple/cranberry Tea. I heated up water in a tea kettle, added cranberries and applesauce, let it cook for a few minutes before turning the fire off and then added the tea bags of Orange Peako Tea to steap for about 20 Minutes. Served it hot. It was very good. Yes, I would like that. Maybe one day we can have tea time together. That would be nice.
I do not ever remember having plumb pudding but I have had home made, wild plum & muskeydine jelly, my grandmother use to make every summer and fall time. Muskeydines are like wild grapes but a little bit of a different taste than grapes. Although, it does taste a little like red grapes. It is great on morning toast.
I had to work Thanksgiving day but after work, I was able to go over to my friends farm. I did enjoy time with her and her family and her horses. One of them loved the cinnamon-apple-oat cereal bar but not the other one. He was so funny. He let me know that it was something he would not like because he kept pushing it closer and closer to me until I took it and gave it to the one who liked it. He actually shook his head after pushing the cereal bar towards me, and motioned his head up and down but towards me, while making a noise.... As if he were telling me politely, to please take the cereal bar because he did not want it. Too cute!!! A very smart horse!!!
It is late and I need to go now. I need to finish working on putting together my children's CHRISTmas presents and then go to sleep. I have SO MUCH to do tomorrw and need my rest ("my beauty sleep")-LOL! I know I am already 40 but I certainly do Not want to look it!
See you around, larter. Hope you have a Blessed night/day!
Love Always Your Sister,
Stacey
