Thanks for the article :)

Already seen the pics though ;)

There is always talk about Seagal's movies going theatrical or not. And thats all it is, talk. As soon as someone mention *new Seagal movie* and *Will it get a theatrical release ??,* someone jumps the gun and start saying *someone says it might get a theatrical release,* when in fact nobody ever said that.

Regarding the Under Siege franchise, thats a 50/50 situation. It seems like things are really starting to go alot better for Seagal, so who knows, maby he will do another one. But again, right now it is only speculation, nothing official just yet, but hopefully there will be ..

Agree. And as I said a few Years ago (Yes time goes by :)) it would be cool to see Under Siege 3 even if it gets a DTV - treatment. They should take at least 25-30 Millions, a good team and director and a few known co-stars. So, bring it on!!! Time will tell. Maybe in a few years we all are talking about an Under Siege 4:)
I`m sure Maximum Conviction will be a huge success on DVD. Can`t wait to watch Steven and Steve kick that ass!!!

I feel the exact same way, as long as they really concentrate on making a good US 3, then I would deffenetly watch it no matter if it is Straight To Dvd or Theatrical. So lets hope US 3 happens

Yeah April seems far away :D

i honestly think if its going in theatres than its due to Austin....Seagal didnt have a recognizable name in past...Austin will booast alot of sales...condemned sold more than 2 million dvds and Damage was the most downloaded movie on i tunes in uk...

I'm looking forward to seeing it (as I'm not a big fan of the dire TRUE JUSTICE show) but I doubt it'll hit any cinemas, just because of Steve Austin, as he's also had a string of STV movies himself?

Like all his recent movies I dont think it will get a theatrical release. To be hornest, I actualy dont care either, as long as the movie is really good.

I am sorry, but I can not agree with you. Since 1988 till 2002 Steven Seagal was definitely one of the four biggest action icons (together with Stallone, Schwarzenegger and Willis; Van Damme was behind them on the fifth position). His movies from these years grossed more than two billion USD and since 1990s he has become a famous name throughout the world. I would say that despite his last less successful years, he still has his big star power. You can not say that about Steve Austin. Austin is surely a big name in America - because of wrestling, but in the rest of the world? I guess 10% of movie goers know him. In Seagal's case it is at least 80%. BUT Together they can attract many people to theaters if there is a good promotion. However, I don't believe Maximum Conviction will be released theatrically worldwide, but in the US and Canada, plus Japan, Russia, Middle East, other Asian countries...it can gain 10 million USD plus money from dvds and Blu-rays.

Seems like you dont know anything about Seagals acting career. He was one of the biggest action stars from 1988 till around 2002. I can garantee that Seagal will draw more attention than Austin ..

as far as whos the bigger name its still a matter of opinion...many of my friends are austin fans so they usually tell me how popular he was...He drew 10 million viewers in america weekly...austin has been in many mainstream award shows like mtv music awards or movie festivals or teen show awards...his face is on americas most magazines covers which i dont usually see with seagal...but again its a matter of opinion..
